但现在学术界吵得比较凶的东方主义（Orentialism）所指的东方，就是指中东，黎巴
嫩、印度等地。这个东方主义的提出者Said就是黎巴嫩人，不过不是muslim， 是个基
督徒。东方主义的对立面就是occidentalism， 凡不是西方的，西方人都认为是东方。
这个当然就包括中国和东南亚等国了。

义的描述。
英国 Will Durant 写的名著《世界文明史》的第一卷《Our oriental heritage 》。
从名字看就是明显的西方中心。写于上世纪初期，其中对中国的描写还不错。我发现，
从16世纪到20世纪初期，凡是对东方有一点了解的，基本都是对中国观感不错。
但是在50年代以后，也就是中共上台，西方历史著作对中国人整体的评价急转直下了。

律师朱利安•佩纳(Julián Peña)是阿根廷-中国商会(Argentine-Chinese
Chamber of Commerce)理事。他说，2004年，中国在阿根廷的投资加起来只有1290万美
元。
到 2009年，这一数字已增长十倍，达到1.367亿美元。今年，中阿之间达成了多项能源
协议，包括中化集团(Sinochem)上周决定以24.5亿美元收购西方石油公司(Occidental

UC这种烂校，当然流氓都可以进啊。
我加州亲戚连UC申请都没有申请。一个孩子在PRINCETON，另一个在COLUMBIA读。
像BERKELEY本科这种，拿亚洲去还可以哄骗人，在美国连前20都排不进。烂校一个。里面的教室连中央空调都没有，
跟IVY比差远了吧。上课，教室里几百个学生，哪像IVY除特殊情况每个班就十几号人。像跟我们这老美说YALE之类，人
家都很IMPRESSED，说UCB，人家就只说OK。最搞笑是 UC的毕业后，学校的EMAIL都不可以保存说是经济原因。像
YALE毕业生都可以免费一辈子保持原来EMAIL。还有UCB的计算机UPGRADE每年BUDGET $3 MILLION；相比之
下，HARVARD开销$30MILLION。
