有朋友去印度开会，回来谈观感，印象最深的是印度的“哲学家”很多，喜谈精
神性，连政治家都愿意附庸风雅，而且个个能说会道。由于历史的缘故，中国学者多数
说不娴熟的英语，印度学者则说娴熟而我们听不懂的英语。不过，印度人虽然普遍使用
英语，除了民主政治外，一般生活方式上西方化的程度却比中国低，比如麦当劳很少，
圣诞节也没中国热闹。朋友说，印度人似乎比较快乐，乞丐要钱总是笑眯眯的，即使要
不到钱也不改脸色。
最后这点让我尤其感兴趣，印度乞丐总是笑眯眯，我猜想很可能与挥之不去的种
姓制度有关系。查维基百科，种姓制度在印度始于公元前20世纪，是借由许多不同的标
准，包括是否吃素、是否杀牛以及是否接触尸体等等，建立起来的一套相对阶序。种姓
制度将印度人区分为婆罗门、刹帝利、吠舍与首陀罗四个阶层，并在英属殖民地时期固
化为边界森严的等级制。虽然早在1947年独立之时，印度就在法律上废除了种姓制度，
政治上也逐渐迈入民主时代，可是种姓制度在社会实际运作，特别是社会心理层面上依

美国是移民国家，看看占领华尔街的人，有几个是印第安人？对美国社会不满而可以不
离开美国的族裔只有印地安人。其次就是华裔，为什么？论人种，华裔和印第安人血缘
最接近。看看骨格肤色，基本就是一个人种，最新基因研究，印地安人和中国人基因最
接近。而且，据推测，印地安人还是中国人的后裔呢，是从白令海峡走过去的。
但是，华裔遭受歧视的时候，华裔要发出一点声音但是时候，就要来自洋鬼子和假洋鬼

国忠诚问题。反对种族歧视是维护美国独立宣言精神，维护美国立国基本原则，维护美

的表述，有任何本质区别啊。
比如说，我的原话是“建造这么一个无时无刻不监控人行为的panopticon，让人们自觉

这和你阐述的福柯的观点”使的人将某种Norm内在，成为指导自身行为的内在动力，既
完成self-regulation的过程“，有什么分别吗？你无非就是夹杂了一些英文单词，使
用了”将。。内在“这种中英不通的句式，对不对？
另外呢，我之所以举sopa的例子，因为这个例子新鲜出炉，冒着热气，容易理解。如果
说sopa作为法律，属于sovereign power，但是其实施呢，却不是靠法律，而主要是通
过disciplinary power，也就是通过google或者其它因特网对网络信息的监控，来令网
民产生畏惧，进而自觉的顺从法律。这不就是disciplinary power和sovereign power
的结合了吗？也就是 power／knowledge的结合体。法律的power，和Gooogle的
knowledge，狼狈为奸。

化的胡音，我陕我豫的方言可能还更接近古音。普通话的“好听”，无非是强势文化洗
脑的结果。
我很小的时候，周围的小朋友都讲某种方言，我只讲普通话。没人觉得我讲话好听，小
朋友们都笑我。小孩子的本能，只有和自己还有父母一样的才是好的。最后我也学会讲
方言。到了中学，大家长大了，思维conform to社会的norm，都不好意思讲方言了，都
讲普通话了。
清朝的时候，普通中国人刚刚大批见到西方人，觉得他们“好看”吗？都是当他们是怪
物啊。慢慢的审美就变了。 |

Actually,only from 1931, UK had general elections, and many restrictions
were placed, e.g. women could not elect. US still had massive slaves then.
Second, a law is a law. China does not allow drug dealing, and you may argue
that since China is not a democratic country, its drug ban is invalid and

这个是我在Yahoo News的comments看到的。一个在韩国两家航空公司教了五年的美国飞
行教官写的。基本就是讲，这两家公司的飞行员普遍不具备基本飞行技能，训练和考试
偷奸耍滑。摔飞机才是正常的。这次旧金山机场趁天气好维修自动助降的仪器，韩亚飞
行员就原形毕露了。

As I had mentioned earlier: very very few private schools are among the top
college sports power houses. (Stanford and USC are exceptions, but not the
norm, among private schools.)
Can you look at the remaining schools in the list and their numbers? Sum
them up, what do you get?
To answer that question: I graduate from Stanford. I am quite familiar with
its world class sport facilities. I don't think any other private school can
be comparable. Correct me if I am wrong. |
