请注意 CC 加强 non-fiction （或称informational texts) 是专指在 语文课 （
English Language Arts)上。自然科学类和社会科学类，小学低年级有Science和
Social Study,再往高年级应该上有更细分的历史，物理，化学，生物什么的，对吧？
Stars and plant cells 不是应当在这些科目中学习吗？
English Language Arts 上的 non-fiction 应该不会和 Science 有很大的交集，那么
，这个 non-fiction 的筐子里装什么，就深有玄机了。许多反对者担心的是，COMMON
CORE 背后的利益集团可以很方便地利用这个non-fiction 的筐里装的东西对给孩子们
进行意识形态方面的宣传洗脑。如果有人说意识形态的东西虚无缥缈，将来孩子的三观

发帖数: 25234 | 14 是张纯如的母亲写的，算是比较新的书了。sd的公立图书馆系统还没有任何copy。我捐
之前的要求就是进流通借阅部，而不是在旧书店卖掉，因为是特意买来捐的。nobel这
里的north universities 图书馆查阅后表示肯定会进流通借阅。
同时还带的一本张的南京大屠杀，还有华裔美国 口述历史的书，图书馆都有不少
copies，所以只能进旧书店，我就没捐。
同时向图书馆建议在12月展出南京大屠杀和张的传记，不过因为时间紧，而且我也考虑
12月主要是节日气氛，所以建议来年的11月9日张纯如祭日前后，在展示架上推荐她的
著作和传记，图书馆负责人很赞同，让我明年记得提醒她。
还有，图书馆很欢迎儿童中文书的捐赠，不论新旧，都进流通借阅，因为借中文书的人
太多了，供不应求。我有点汗，因为我自己也借不少中文书，可是还没捐过。我解释说
大部分中国人家的书都是爷爷奶奶背来的，如果捐了，下次老人来可能会失望，图书馆
表示理解，我告诉他们明年回国会带来一些中文书捐给他们。

发帖数: 82482 | 20 其实，有时候小书比巨著好看，narrative更容易掌握一些。巨著，有时很难有合适的
narrative，就是一个故事主线不容易掌握，搞不好就成了章节汇编。
James Gleick就是一个很好的Story Teller，很复杂的内容，他能组织得很好。这本《
The Information》八九百页，一点也不觉得枯燥，写书还是很有功底的。
单独某个有趣题目的单行本类型的小书难多啦：不能因为没趣就不写，也不能因
为有趣就太过分；照顾全局，照顾细节，还得保持情趣。。。
法国人写过一些很有趣的科普书，但是比之kline的这个更多审美上的娱乐，比如
informal的intuition啊，比喻啊。kline更硬一点，正经一点。 |

musil 的《the man without quantities》（中译：没有个性的人）。
ps，维特根斯坦弟弟paul wittengenstein的故事里，我偶像Prokofiev还友情出演了。

我来厚道一把。就算是电影《手机》的一个Review吧。
看任何电影，如果要真正Enjoy的话，最重要的是要对作品的主角有一个认同，如果作品
的主角不是正面人物的话，suppose对主角没有sympathy，也应该有一个empathy，否则的
话，对于这个故事就很难欣赏。没有对人物的认同或者empathy，那就不是看故事了，就
象是在看记录片或者是其他的non-fiction，但是其实记录片也是有一个narrative的，就
算不是故事的话。一个narrative也需要观众的某种程度的认同。
看了《手机》，我没有能成功的建立起对片中的任何人物的empathy，没有认同片中的英
雄或者是反英雄(hero or anti-hero)，或者说protagonists。我的欣赏水平有限，而且

(1) HCB认为什么是一张好照片?
根据他的名言:

我同意你说的 “一张照片同时具备narrative和formal两方面完整性”. Formal当然不
用说. Narrative或许可以理解是他这里说的 “give that event its proper
expression.”

另外,我觉得你太提高读者的地位了.有的作家写东西,是不在乎读者的,有没有读者,是
没有关系的,.他们只是想宣泄,只是想写,这种时候要考虑读者的话,技巧可能是高超的,
