position will be staff engineer, not sr eng yet. So I amworrying
Career growth in mwd. Not sure how soon promotion will be. Plus salary will
be reduced by 3w initially. But mwd has lots of benefit private firm can not

insurance and has pension plan, which is not provided by my current firm.
I am at my early 40's. As you said, I would like to 折腾折腾 as well before
I am getting too old. But I do cherish this job opportunity at MWD as I do
not know when the job position will be open again from this company, if I
miss it this time. |

最近中海油刚研发出贪吃蛇系统，填补国内该技术一大空白，拼命宣传中，是咱们这里

big deal. if you make 6w now, 1.8w drop is not huge as you get pension from
the state system.
一般而言工作会比较轻松，涨幅和升迁是不是可以查public records，估计这些都是
public的吧。给你offer是啥level，这个level做多能到多少工资，还有其他啥level，
工资范围，这些都是公开的吧？和私人公司不太一样。
我觉得还是看你想干啥，还有目标是啥。我朋友在其他地方的water district做，我看
挺好的。对了，如果有pe，感觉water district这种半盈利的，工资不该比consulting
低很多。祝贺！

高工资大概需要３－５年吧。再往上就得换title升级了，哪个好象是一个罗卜一个坑
。半政府性质的机构可能没有politics吗！

你多大？政府工比较轻松，稳定。其实人的斗争不是那么厉害，各自基本平行发展。我
在政府干了4年多，出来因为离家远，当然offer不错，新工作福利可比 。但是感觉人
斗争挺厉害的。私人公司比较忙，我觉得趁还能折腾，先折腾，我以前老板说啥时候都
可以回去，只要有老同事退休，职务open。一般政府内提升，很少自己升，一般都是高
level的人退修，你再申请，尤其是snr eng 名额一般打死的。

移民还是不错的，非常稳定，工作强度也比较小，可以一直感到退休了。所有的
consultant都是为你们服务的。搞civil，还是要进政府。
