Top Ten Characteristics of Good Running Form By Rick Morris
Foot Strike Under Your Center of Gravity
Did you ever try to drive your car while pressing on both the gas and
the brakes at the same time? Probably not. If you did you would be
slowing yourself down and wasting a lot of energy. Running with your
foot strike in front of your body is the same thing. When you plant
your foot in front of your body you’re putting on the brakes with

1)muscle car
Pontiac

V8 pony car

The best remedy for Achilles tendon pain is PREVENTION of an injury in the
first place.
General Injury Prevention:
• Regular exercise
• Good diet (insufficient calcium could lead to tight muscles,
resulting in excess Achilles tendon strain) including plenty of water.
• Get enough sleep.
• Maintain good health by maintaining a good weight, avoiding smoking,
excessive caffeine, and alcohol and drugs.
• Take good care of ...

It can take some time for muscle soreness to show up, typically 48 hours
after the hard workouts. Easy & recovery runs can reduce muscle soreness. If
you are taking rest days in tapering, then muscle soreness can be more
pronounced, but it should not be a problem.
In my experience, there are two different kinds of muscle soreness -- what I
would call "hot soreness" and "cold soreness" -- just terms that I made up.
cold/ice water on your muscles help easing the discomfort. With "cold
soreness", y...

来自主题: Running版 - 5 Key Stretches for Runners
By Selene Yeager
We know, we know: Stretching is confusing. One minute experts tell you to
stretch before you run, and the next minute research reveals that static
stretching (think: touching your toes) may actually zap performance. What's
a runner to do?
Well, first, know this. You need to stretch. Running makes your legs strong,
toned, and, unfortunately, tight. Every step you take forces those quads,
hamstrings, calves, and hips to flex and extend over and over to propel you
down the road. Af...

I did my Master's thesis on enhancing bone recovery with whole body
vibration training-- basically a low-magnitude, high frequency stimulus. You
could equate this to ~walking, standing, low-intensity running. Low
intensity activity is both safer and more anabolic to both soft and hard
tissue. It's also more likely to be sustained long term and consistently--
it's what maintains bone/muscle mass. When ...

Carbohydrate-loading diet
By Mayo Clinic staff
Definition
A carbohydrate-loading diet, also called a carb-loading diet, is a strategy
to increase the amount of fuel stored in your muscles to improve athletic
performance. Carbohydrate loading generally involves greatly increasing the
amount of carbohydrates you eat several days before a high-intensity
endurance athletic event. You also typically scale back your activity level
during carbohydrate loading.

I’m getting muscle cramps. What should I do?
There are two main theories on muscle cramping. The first is that they are
due to neuromuscular fatigue and the second is that they are due to
electrolyte depletion and dehydration. The best thing to do for muscle
cramping is to try to prevent them in the first place. Nothing substitutes
for training.
Specifically trained muscles will be adapted to the tough conditions at WS.
Sometimes, however, cramps are unavoidable. So, if cramping ...
