His suggestions are way overkill for your lot. If I read you post right,
you have a 0.3 acre lot, that's including the area taken up by the house and
deck, correct?
For that size, just go to a local HD/Lowe/Sears/Farm and Fleet or whatever
your local hardware store, get any of those mowers that's around $150 would
be good enough for you. It would take just half an hour to an hour at most
to mow your lawn.
As for snow blower, a single stage would work. 2 stage blower works much

don't know why people here don't dare to use a corded mower.
If you have a helper, let her or him to hold the cord for you while you are
mowing.
If you don't have one like me, just use one hand to hold the cord for
yourself
and use another hand to push the mower around.
The electric mower is very light. One hand can push it around easily.
If you use left hand hold line, go 'W' from left to right.
If you use right hand hold line, go 'W' from right to left.

I decide to do the following things first.
1) tree pruning. so that tree will not absorb up all the water in the lawn.
2) spraying water at midnight instead of morning. This will avoid the
vaporating.
3) reduce the frequency of mowing the lawn.
4) check and replace all spray heads. |

Whatever you do, don't prune the tree. Tree root and grass root are at
drastically different depth, so tree root does not absorb water that grass
would be absorbing. The tree's shade is the only thing helping lower
evaporation right now. Pruning it would hurt your lawn, and probably hurts
your tree as well in this weather.
Definitely reduce mowing though. if your grass is still growing quickly in
a drought, you have watered too much. I would suggest you just reduce the

我去年本来打算后院铺paver，大约1100 sq ft，后来估计了下工程量比较大，好看的
大块砖也不便宜，加上base，edging等，工具以及花费的人工和时间，跟水泥差不多甚
至更高，效果也许还不如水泥好，另外砖缝里容易长杂草。后来铺的带颜色stamped
concrete，带颜色的比较好看，seal了效果更好，另外有些曲线比如mow strip是paver
做不到的，加了rebar最后成本不到$5 per sq ft，两天就弄好 |

A cordless electronic mower doesn't bother me at all.
I mow my lawn nearly once every two or three weeks.
Each time it takes only 15 to 20 minutes.
I forget to mention.
All my other garden tools are CORD ELECTRONIC, such as string trimmer and
hedge trimmer.
They work great so far. |

well above 100 degree in the summer. i will try to mow the lawn in the
early morning next time and see how it goes; hate to spend another $400 to
buy a lawn mower after just spending $300 on the one that i have now.

lawn and manage the electrical cord at the same time. maybe once or twice is
manageable, but doing it twice a month, 12 months a yr....
i don't have a son or daughter to help me, and my wife prefers to stay
inside when the temperature is like 90 degree outside, so im stuck with
either an electrical or gas lawn mower. :-) |
