prevention trial demonstrated the reduction of lung cancer related mortality
and all cause mortality. Many trials in the past failed to do this, the
most recent one was PLCO trial using chest x ray as screening method. The

死在谣言手下的受害者古今中外都有。在此不一一列举。
哪怕是对于比尔·盖茨这样的绝世强人，谣言有时候也讨厌得很。关于他的著名谣言有
两个：
一、他捐款是为了避税
二、他捐款为第三世界提供疫苗是为了控制人口增长，所以疫苗是有问题的。至于是什
么问题猜测颇多，有说是疫苗里有慢性毒，会让被注射者多年后毒发身亡；有说是会导
致被注射者不育。反正在这个谣言里，比尔就是个杀人魔王。
第一个谣言很久以前我就听说过，最近又重新听人提起。对这个谣言我一直有个疑问：
比尔已经捐出数百亿美金，如果是为了避税，他避的税该比这个数目要大吧？这也太夸
张了，怪不得美国政府赤字高企。比尔还承诺过有生之年要捐出一半以上的财产（１）

再给你扫个盲，“人均预期寿命”是指人出生时平均可存活的年数。是向前预期的。
1950年的人均预期寿命是指向1950年以后的，这和1949年前的内战没关系了。
就算把1950年后阵亡人数最多的朝鲜战争算上，由于战场不在中国，以中国的人口基数来看，这样的阵亡人数（就算为百万数量级）也不足以使人均预期寿命发生很多变化。
不过这需要统计学知识，我对你能否理解表示怀疑

治疗手段延长魏则西这个年轻人的生命，这种需要来自求生本能，完全可以理解。但由
于缺乏必要的医疗知识和获取知识做出合理判断的渠道，他们是信息不对称及垄断之下
最大的弱者,也是最大的受害者。
这个事件里,排名第一的罪者是这家莆田系民营医疗机构 以及 北京武警二院：在明知
没有治愈效果的情况下对处于最最弱势地位的病者虚假宣传，并收取高额费用赚取利润
，是最为恶劣的不义之财，非但不道德，而且违法。救死扶伤行业能做出这样的事情，
其实只是全面道德沦丧的中国社会的一个缩影（他们并不高尚，但可能也不是这个社会
中最邪恶的，只是道德水平普遍低下的一个具体代表）。。

癌症和心脏病名列榜首
根据加拿大统计局昨日公布的统计报告《主要的死亡原因》（Leading causes of death）十大导致加拿大人死亡的疾病或原因分别为癌症、心脏病、中风、慢性下呼吸道疾病、意外事故、糖尿病、阿尔茨海默氏病（Alzheimer's disease）、流感和肺炎、肾脏疾病以及自杀。
其中，癌症造成的死亡占30%，心脏病占22%，因这两大疾病在2007年导致的死亡个案，占据了该年加国死亡总数235,217中的逾51%，堪称最大杀手。排在第三位的中风，占6%。
十大致死原因数年不变

想不想预知自己在2023年之前的生死机率？旧金山加州大学研究人员研发了50岁以上者的「生命指数」（mortality index），以12个包括性别、年龄和身体健康的项目来计分，以预测一个人在未来十年死亡的机率，例如得最高分26分的人，在未来十年死亡的机率是95%，几乎死定，得分为零的人，未来十年死亡的机率是3%。虽然这个指数主要是给医生参考使用的，但引起许多人的好奇。
领导这个研究的旧金山加大教授玛莉莎?克鲁兹（Dr. Marisa Cruz）说，这个指数主要是为协助医生决定是否值得让一个不可能活过十年的病人，去接受昂贵的健康筛检或医疗程序，而不是做为改变生活形态的指南。

为了表明她与雾霾的“私人恩怨”，演讲一开始，柴静就讲了一个感人的故事（1分09秒开始）：
“她（柴静女儿）被诊断为良性肿瘤，在出生之后就要接受手术，做麻醉之前，医生对我说，她这么小的年纪做全身麻醉是有可能醒不过来了，你要有个心理上的准备，我还没有来得及抱她一下，她就被抱走了。后来护士在我手里放了一只小熊，那是用来安慰小孩的，她用来安慰我。”

数据。当然他的说法明显带有读晕轮的调子，本来不需要讨论，只是希望给大家一些数
