什么是Moo Goo Gai Pan呀？ 我土生土长的中国人，知道炸酱面，知道红烧肉，知道清
蒸鱼，知道叫化鸡，就连满汉全席，酥炸鲤鱼，街边小吃，流水宴席我都知道，我怎么
不知道 Moo Goo Gai Pan 这道风靡美国的著名的中国菜呢？
后来，和美国的教师教授们去了中国餐馆，（那个时候，那个地方的中国餐馆，菜单上

1. 泛读和精读结合。图书馆借很多书，看一两遍就完了，基本就是看图片来着。家里
买的书那是人家的宝贝（20多本吧），每本书都能叫出名字来，比如hop on pop, one
fish one fish (他还不会说two fish)，moo moo （Mr. Brown can moo)，jungle
book 等等，一遍遍地要我读，读完了他把我推开自己读。虽然每翻到一页只会说一个
词甚至一个音，但慢慢的发现每一页对他来说都有一个固定的发音，说明我读的时候他
还是听进去了。
2. 我一般会讲故事，虽然他还听不懂情节，但他听的懂语气。比如讲Green Eggs and
Ham的时候，每次说到"I do like green eggs and ham"，小家伙都会如释重负地笑起
来了。当天他经常会被图画吸引，明明讲的是游泳的故事他却指着边上的阳伞大叫“伞
，伞”，这样我就会停下来跟他讲伞，问他伞的颜色等等。
老大小时候给她讲很多中文故事书，但发现没有那么朗朗上口，所以自己编了很多东西。 |

1， 我客观的说，chop suey （炒碎）是中餐馆里面非常健康的一个菜
就是很多菜丝一起炒，快炒，最简单的方法。然后给点儿干面条。
那么多蔬菜。很划算。
2， 另外推荐moo shu(shi) 苜蓿系列。比如moo shu pork是我常点的。
就是拿类似春卷皮，也可能是春饼皮，总之白白的面皮，卷很多炒蔬菜，里面
有少量肉丝。还是相对健康的。 ：） 考虑一下，那么多纤维，那么多蔬菜。。。
在中餐馆里面不常见吧。 ：）

真的，是内心非常尴尬。今天从芝加哥回家，中间是在亚特兰大转机的。晚上8点到了

，插播这条新闻是跟中国和中国人有关的，用的是最大音量，新闻里面不停的“China

是非常尴尬，虽然我的脸上没写着“中国人”或者“Chinese”的字样，但是当时情形
那是所有人的都在争看那条新闻啊，连很多飞行员都赶到电视下面笑谈，播完之后很多
人就开始议论“Chinese……”
尴尬不？真尴尬。
路上想着其实这个新闻已经出来好几天了，至少有10天吧？？？怎么CNN会在这个时候
插播这条新闻？突然想明白了，这就是CNN要来恶心China和Chinese的，当然了，没有

会议的前两个Panel分别是“The cause of the Korean War”和“The roles and
responsibilities of major states in the Korean War”。我听得云里雾里，而南渝
霜华作为专业人士，在听完报告后一针见血地指出，作为六十周年纪念性质的会议，这
基本是重新宣告各方的立场，而不是发表新的学术成果。他进一步指出，朝鲜战争中、
朝、美、韩四方，其实只有中方经历了观点的切换，其他各方其实是观点一直不变。在
指出了这一点后，他对会议感到严重无聊，就回UCLA准备第二天看球去了。留下我贪恋
晚上的Dinner，继续在会场里晃荡。但是在这期间，我们遇见了一位不知道国籍是什么
，但自我认同为“中国人”的老刘，关于他的事以后再说。
这两个Panel里面发言的韩国学者，我猜测可能都是军人，因为其单位一个是韩国军事
科学院（Korean Military Academy），另一个是韩国国防大学（Korea National

美国《纽约时报》7月9日刊登了MARK MCDONALD的文章《中国经济：大灾难即将降临？
》。该文说，美国《外交政策》杂志最近刊文谈了“中国经济将发生大灾难的五个迹象
”，即企业正在减少贷款、制造业产出停滞不前、利率出人意料地下调、进口停止增长
和GDP 增长预期被下调(一些人甚至认为中国经济已经陷入衰退)。该文还说，《纽约时
报》记者Keith Bradsher 曾报道说，中国的住房建设活动几近停止，那些不久前还每
周七天不停工、工人三班倒施工的建筑工地，现在每天只有一班工人在工作，而且周六
、周日还停工。
日本金融服务公司野村的分析师Rob Subbaraman周一说，该公司认为中国有三分之一的
