Yes, we had a similar situation in our company, trying to hire a EHS mgr for
a plant, received 200 resumes, onsite interview 5 candidates, none was
picked, because of exactly what you said - no one really stands out. Now the
HR has to re-post the job and start all over again! |

entry level associate product manager, 人家立刻就回了。
btw, 当时我有两年biz analytics经验,申的职位都声称要求2-3年工作经验。
如果你只是想进MS,找一个比你能力经验次一级的职位应该胜算更大

由于转行(原来是计算化学的博后),所以也就只敢试些jr的位置。resume写了会c/c++,
python,ruby,js。
按这个要求会问些啥?面试的人在网上搜了一下,看似就是这个项目的mgr(不好肯定
,就是公司+名字在linkedin上找的)。他的profile非常简单,就是写了以往工作单位
,没有项目内容。

一般来说,前者是做市场,上升PLM (product line mgr),然后可能就是BU Director/
VP,属于“高端”的职位,手里有不少资源,包括direct reports。
后者,project/program manager是一个协调者,说白了就是求着各组干活的碎催。大
多是光杆一个。底层职位。 |

不好意思回慢了。
我在休斯顿做码农,薪水起点比较低,所以我大胆提了15%。
第二次也是最近的一次是在大约9个月之后吧,一个quarter的review之后。技术
manager和项目manager都对我评价的蛮好的,我就大着胆子又喊了一次10% + 多2天PTO
,HR Director好像问了下mgr的意见,也答应了。 |

是绿卡就另说了,我们公司的明面的policy是no gc and no exception,至于内部是不
是人拿到特许,那就不知道了。但看内部一批一批的烙印,都是拿着L签证过来干个2、
3年挣钱的,到期了再换一批,甚至上面管人的大批mgr都在三国办公,估计也是难以指
望会retain长期员工在us了。 |
