不过我还是疑惑，工业界funding要花不少时间做，然而不太好发论文啊。虽然很多大
牛已经不把论文当回事了，不过我才做发考题两年，论文对我还是很重要的。
还有，澳洲（至少我们这个学校）不但不强调基础研究，也不在意independence，很多
年轻发考题每篇论文都会加established professor，而且反而算是有mentorship
或者collaboration的强项。这跟我以前接受的training不是一个理念。
我其实有些拧巴。
一边不想被别人taken credits，想保持独立。不然时间长了，我怕不是我选择这个job
，而是
stuck here了。
一边我也想站住脚。
哎。还是足够优秀才能啥也不怕呀。 |

是这个样子的，公司有那种cross function的mentorship program, 每个参加这个项目
的高级别的mentor（至少是director级的），配个低level的mentee（像我这样的）。
mentee 先面试mentor ，然后找出自己的top 5，交给组织者，组织者负责match － 如
果2个mentee 选了一个mentor，再由mentor 决定要谁。
我觉得有两个mentor都很好，都是中年阿姨，级别差不多，功能区别比较大，一个 A
是在我们这个部门做了很多年，很多国家都做过，步步高升，最后转到其他部门去当头
了。另一个B是根我们日常交流比较多的一个部门的头。
我感情上比较倾向于A, 感觉她能确实能给我指点很多的职业发展道路，毕竟她自己都
经历过。但是理智上选B，因为有自己的盘算，我的工作需要根他们部门合作，如果有
她这个头的支持的话，会好办的多。
所以交list 的时候，我就把B 放在第一，A放在第二。B还是这个项目的组织／发起者
，所以基本上就是把list交给她了。

email说PP开始，真诚向版上的XDJM求祝福，也祝大家早绿！
准备材料这半年在版上学了很多，在这里我也把自己的一些小经验分享一下，希望对大
家有所帮助。
1. 要推荐信：根据前人的经验，我都是周一，周二晚上把要推荐信的email发出。
Email的内容也是根据版上的模版做了点小改动。可是最初的3-4封信都石沉大海，没有
任何回音。我想来想去，很可能牛人们这样的信收的太多，不相干的人也许根本不会把
email点开看。于是我把邮件的标题改成了“Support letter inquiry (former
graduate student of Dr. xx （or postdoc of Dr. xx）)”。我要信的目标也主要是
那些比较熟悉我老板的人 。不知道是改标题还是改目标起了作用，后来再发的邮件全
都一举中的，并且基本都在我发去draft后的2-3天收到了签好的推荐信。以下是我要推
荐信的email，因为信比较长，我highlight了重点，好让收信人短时间了解我的目的。
