exposure, a drug for example, affects your outcome, mortality for example.
moderators: when you stratify your study sample by a moderator, gender for
example, you will get different estimated effects in each strata (males/
females). For example, a drug is more effective for males than for females.
Without stratification you will not find out such a difference.

小孩是从2007-2008年到National Jewish Health Pediatric Food Allergy and
Eczema Program看病的小孩，看的是IgE-mediated食品过敏。文中没有说小孩是否都被
诊断为食物过敏，但是文中说到小孩是被refer过来的，而且很多抽血和皮试都是在别
处做过的。做食物激发试验用的食物都是小孩之前避免的。所以我猜测这些小孩可能是
被别的诊所诊断为食物过敏的。至于他们这个program对小孩的诊断结果文中没有提。
什么时候被诊断的自然也没有提。
一些实验细节：
1。作者在做实验的时候对于以前有life-threatening reaction的食品就没有做food
challenge，或者如果小孩在过去的6-12个月内有"convincing"过敏反应的食品也没有
做。
2。实验中的食物激发试验并不是双盲的。
3。食物激发试验是以6-10个剂量、半小时的间隔给的。阳性反应定义为两小时内出现
