当我躺在板床上，和主人公一样听着院子里的喧嚣，再看看自己房间里堆满的游戏碟，

《魔鬼词典》(Devil’s Dictionary )一书中，给读物下的定义是∶
供阅读的东西的总称。在我国通常包括关於印第安人的小说，用方言写的短篇小说
和用俚语写的幽默作品。
其实，他说的是地方色彩作品，这些东西只能使他觉得滑稽可笑；而现实主义则是
另一回事，他说现实主义是∶
用蟾蜍的眼光来描写自然的艺术。鼹鼠所作的风光旖旎的画幅，或是尺蠖写的故事。
这是污蔑之辞。事实上，这正是对自称为现实主义者最有代表性的谩骂。而现实主
义者则发表声明回击，通常用的字眼是"现实性"(以别於理想主义，浪费主义，伤感主
义)、"真实"(往往不事粉饰)、"诚实"和"准确"。他们自称是如实描写生活的真相。以
这些说法作为定义，实难使人满意，因为究竟什麽是"生活"和"现实"’尚待解决。小说
