ERAS CV 很重要，避免dilution，要找人把关
我们在申请的时候，每个program拿到的申请会非常多，大家都会很快的go through你
的材料，如果你有很好的闪光点，一定不要把相关性不大的和你的闪光点堆到一块，由
于你cv太多不相关的东西，你的闪光点被忽略。
比如，你在国内有一年病理工作经历，这是非常好的，放在前面。什么一等奖学金啊，
是不值一提的东西，相比之下。会觉得你做事 主次不分。
申请病理的时候，如何写你的research 和publication？ 在ERAS里
除了一些非常好的大学，注重research，你的background和他们match，有一些帮助，
举例我朋友拿到R21 grant，match很不错的program，有这样background的不多，你的
research和他们match的很少，大部分中小型的university，pathology program，对
research不感兴趣，你的reserach 可能会给你减分，所以你在ERAS cv上展现多少，一

，可以带带你，加强你的package，怎么加强。 1. 在hemonc rotation 非常认真，参
与一些科研，case report， poster是很加分的。不一定一定要paper，有时候运气好
，是可以成为第一作者的。 另外有些医生，经常有很多科研，正好到你的时候，科研
到底了，你可以写起来。
自已医院没有hemOnc，去别的医院做elective，什么都没有也不一定不能match
要会写irb的申请，过多久才能批准，是不是需要consent form。一般有regulatory 的
一个人，他是很清楚的，问问是谁，

it is the reality in USA. It happens a lot when I am in frozen call. The
surgeon brought the specimen for margins, common questions:
Q: what does the patient have?
A: a mass
Q: Any specific diagnosis?
A: Some kind of cancer
This is an academic center I am talking about. another common scenerio in
frozen room:

S: what?
P: repeat
S: Is it benign or malignant?

没看见多少...自驾的话,Jasper的选择还是挺多的,主要的路线有以下几条
1. 93A. 其实这条路是从Icefield parkway上的Athabasca fall开始的一直通到Jasper
小镇的跟93号路平行的路,就好像Bow valley parkway和trans canada hwy 1的关系一
样.93A上车少,停车方便,一直沿河开,河面很多地方在冬天也不会冻住,有些路段可以下
到河边看风景(不过要千万小心,河面冻得非常不结实,不知道哪下子就可能踩到一摊水
里...).美中不足的是,这个93A本来全场近20mi,但在冬天只有不到10mi的路段对车开放
,也就是从Jasper小镇开始向南的不到10mi.冬天是无法从Athabasca fall走93A直接到
Jasper的.
2.Pyramid lake drive:这条路就好像Jasper version的Vermillion lakes drive一样,

地区的时候就被路边的美景震撼了一下。不过我对Banff公园更深刻的印象，是Banff小
镇：整个Rockies地区吃喝玩乐购物娱乐的中心，要啥有啥，各种餐馆商铺应有尽有，

我外婆家在宁波西郊的四明山区，妈妈今天讲起她们村里的事情。外婆家的邻居就是地
主，其实就是家里多点山地和田地。地主是开明地主，也为共产党做些事情。就是自以
为没得罪共产党，所以土改的时候就没跑，没想到就枪毙了。
地主婆然后郁闷死去，留下来两个小孩。女儿去上海给人做保姆，后来远嫁甘肃，不知
所终。
儿子在老家混到三年自然灾害，实在没得吃，只好跑去宁波做小偷，第一次抓去，高高
吊起，然后摔下，满口牙都摔坏，然后放出来。回去老家，徘徊一整夜，没有敲堂兄家
门，又返回宁波。接着做小偷，这回抓去劳改。一两年就病死，才22岁。
妈妈说这人跟她从小一起玩，心肠很好，没想到这个结局，唏嘘不已。
村里还有两个地主。其中一个是村里办学的校长，外婆家里穷，没钱给我妈上学，还特
地跑来，劝我外婆说小女孩天资不错，可以免去一担谷的学费接着上。还有个教我妈数
学的老师，迂腐可爱 |

我研究院时必须读MD和PhD的双重功课。
天天跟读西医的同学在一起上课。
Lesion 这字我当然知道是病变的意思，
但我很不满意这个字的信息量。
用 Lesion 就像用 It 这样。
房子可以说是It，汽车业是 It，
钱也是 It，有什么意义？
我当然不是说这个字完全无用，
但用太多了反映了掩盖和忽悠。
至于说有非常详细的形态描述比较，
实际并非如此，而一般是用图片。
其中主观因素非常大，但装精确而已。
例如 Neoplasm 是 Benign 或 Malignant，
也是非常主观。但对外(病人)则装很准确。
由于主观，许多非癌症都被当癌症来治疗。
如果病人化疗死了，既然说是癌，不足怪。
但如果病人没死，医生就变成救命恩人了。
非癌症的病人，倾家荡产，换来残存的身体。
无论如何，昂贵的癌症医疗费对医生没有坏处。
对医学，法律，金融无知，吃大亏的概率很高。
而一般人除非属于那个行业，都只好任凭摆布。 |

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has been diagnosed with a rare type of cancer, his
doctor said Wednesday.
“It is a difficult and very rare type of tumour,” Dr. Zane Cohen said in a
Wednesday evening press conference, describing Ford’s cancer as a
malignant liposarcoma.
“It’s a fairly aggressive tumour…but we are treating this aggressively in

A former cancer biologist at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida has
retracted 19 papers from a single journal.
Jin Cheng, who studies how ovarian cancer develops, withdrew 19 papers from
the Journal of Biological Chemistry originally published over the last 15
years, and corrected another. All of the retractions are for image
