病没有心理压力,福利好的地方吃药看牙没有deductible一般搬的treatment没有limit
。吃东西不错,电器车车贵,苹果便宜,PS3便宜。
但是高薪少,你可以去政府网站查查,因为都是公立的,薪水不论是librarian,小
college的教授,还是大学professor,10万左右。除了商学院,总管等有油水的位置。
压力灰常小,人懒,teaching load可能不低,otherwise劳动积极性不高。好处是滋润
。但是如果好的学校,也别想别人白给你tenure哈。至少我们这种超饱和的专业,这些
同鞋到米国拿个教职也得是比较搓的ivy或者uc sandiego,irvine之类。有人是趁汇率
好的时候从米国叛逃的。
要是冷的地方,阿伯塔,卡家里,慢拖把,闻你屁之流就别去了。-40度,嘿嘿。
McGill是个好地方,如果你不怕小偷,感觉蒙特列儿比大苹果市更有文化,冷点。如果
是多大,ubc也不错。
funding少,个别行业例外。你想NSERC能有多少钱,比NSF差远了。每个grant数目小 |

H1B,说得很简单,就说到钱是一方一半。于是我就要求学校给我办。结果人事的说特别
麻烦。要重新post and advertise job。在现在的工作市场下,很多人会申请我的工作。
我记得我劳工三年前办H1B,是工程师方面的工作。是不需要重新张贴工作的,办绿卡
才需要。我劳工的律师也说不需要。可人事的窑顶,她刚办完一起,就是要post and
advertise job。难道三年后,H1B政策变了?

有一天,一头大狮子走进了图书馆,把里面的人都吓坏了。可是人们发现这个狮子并不

写一点,卡住了,或者妹妹有更好的主意了,就换妹妹上。其实每人写个半张一张纸,
没几轮下来,就是一个很长的故事,小朋友还没有压力,遇到写不下去的时候总有人商
量。我觉得挺好的,就把这主意跟我女儿老师说了一下,她说可以试试,说不定有帮助
。不过我觉得这对父母还是有点要求的,那两个女儿快10岁了,所以有写作基础,如果
是爸爸妈妈充当这个partner的角色,肚子里起码得有点货才行。咱们不是第一代移民
么,英语又不是母语,写这些非专业的东西那肯定得掉层皮,就当跟孩子一起学写作好
了。我刚刚google了一下crafting elements writing这些关键词,网上给了一下书
名,或者你就直接去图书馆问librarians说你想接关于写作技巧的书,肯定大把大把的
有。看看这些书,还有上面的一下小范文,我们就可以照猫画虎跟孩子对着写了。我想
这办法对付对低年级的孩子(1,2,3),我觉得还是够的。等到小学高年级了,帮不了
了,就看孩子自己的写作悟性吧。还有就是,不是每个孩子都爱写点什么的,有些孩子

个为什么,还能给你找有关的故事书,科普图画书,可能还有不同文化对自然现象的传
说故事。
你女儿问问题的时候她的那扇门就打开了,赶紧主动用各式各样的儿童书吸引住她,学
完打雷,学风,雨,河,石,植物,动物,太多可以讲的了。这里的儿童书籍太丰富了
!肯定有比 ”打你屁股,就会bia bia响“ 这种更适合孩子又准确的解释。笑死了 :D |

子的理解力。
跟图书管理员讲整个过程,他们会根据你孩子的年龄和理解力帮你选书,有科普的,甚

说,就知道为什么我退下来了。
你可以去不同校区的job board看看(特别是有钱的校区),不同的 support
staff和管理人员,他们的工作还挺有意思的。另外,其实做学校图书管理员也挺好的
,不过现在是这个行业的dark age,校区没钱啊,librarian被砍无数,如果喜欢,在
私立还有这样的工作机会。另外就是informal education行业了,自己做tutor也挺好
的,可以课后教,也可以教homeschool的孩子。另外各种课外补习/活动机构也需要教
育背景的管理人员和老师。我还知道有人跳到教育图书出版社工作,还有人去搞
educational technology startup,或者参与别人的startup了。你要喜欢,也可以做
research。肯定还有很多我没接触到的。 |

frequently. When going to the library we borrowed the books according to
her reading level. The list of books was posted online by the library also I
could ask a librarian.
When accessing reading levels, the teacher requried kids to read through
alound without mistake or hesitation hence if reading for leasure she could
ready a few levels above the recommended level.

如果我党开明(其实还是靠广大人民理性加暴力推动),中国还是好啊,尤其是江南。
最近看了To Kill A Mockingbird,美国这50年的进步非常巨大,当然也就是说以前很糟
糕。我同事说50年代罢工的矿工直接被部队给围剿,老百姓也就是这才几十年可以对政
府指手划脚。不过这也可以解释为中国社会还需要长期(200年?)积累。
