9点15进手术室，7点45就要去医院check in。产前检查一切正常，老婆挂着水，护士扶
着挂药杆，再加上我和翻译就一起走向了手术室。
麻醉师来的有点迟，搞的气氛有点紧张。而且来了以后，第一针没有打好，打了第二针
，最后搞的有点麻药过量。手术6个小时以后才开始有知觉。9点35在病床上躺好，等到
传说中的白布挡住视线，我坐在老婆的左边握着她的手，终于我也开始紧张，但是想到
预先设定好的，不要去看手术的光影，不要通过白布看婴儿，我开始讲一些说完以后都
不记得我说了些什么的话，帮助老婆分神。突然老婆说我肚子被打开了，我抓紧了她的
手，安慰她说一会儿就好了。很快我感觉到老婆的身体被拉扯，我们都感到非常的紧张
，突然一声啼哭打破了这个气氛，Lucas 9点50出来了。接着是Lawrence 9点51.护士在
简单的检查擦洗和称了重量以后，就包好放在我的怀里。翻译马上帮我们4个照了几张

所以如果你米够挺，在 andover 工作的话，当然住 andover/north andover，方便又
好。
如果你要追求 most bang for the buck, 那就住周围的town, 比如 south Lawrence,
haverhill etc.
其实你住到 New Hampshire 也不错，买新车好省不少税呢。
你问lawrence怎么险恶？呵呵，lawrence是整个麻省最险恶的地方，比lowell，
springfield还要险恶，每年要纵好几次火，杀好几个人，不过一般都发生在北边。 |

2009年奥巴马提名两位华裔担任其内阁部长——能源部长朱棣文和商务部长骆家辉，两
人均为华裔精英组织百人会成员。奥巴马政府到目前为止一共有五位华裔担任高官，其
中三人出自百人会。
百人会（Committee of 100)是1990年在美国纽约成立的一个华人精英组织，是共济会
的外围。发起人是共济会华裔石匠大师、33级会员贝聿铭和共济会员、音乐家马友友。
百人会有会员140人左右，其中多数是美国各级共济会员，全部是在美国社会中有影响
力与知名度的华裔组成。
百人会的入会资格十分严格，最主要的入会标准是：在自己所从事的领域要在全美甚至
全世界都有知名度，此外还必须得有好的声望和品行。
与共济会相同，加入百人会须有3名老会员的推荐，百人会设有一个专门委员会来进行
资格审核和批准。其会员年费为2000美元左右。

Charles Jones看上去很普通，就好象一个你我身边的人，没有什么政客的油滑气息。
我们去见他是周六的下午，问他周六干嘛，说见面完了以后会去扫街。现在他最大的竞
选策略就是扫街，因为他扫街的时候才能充分了解民意，知道如何调整自己的政纲。
Charles以前是做Apple, AT&T面对企业的市场。他曾经拥有过自己的咨询公司，专门负
责外包政府工程（不是外包到美国以外，而是作为政府的供应商), 而这个公司一度每
个月的员工开销达到20万，也就是说这已经不是一家很小的小公司了。所以Charles完
全理解一个小企业主的艰辛，也最在意小企业的经营环境，反对加税。
他是非裔，但是选择在Lynbrook区居住，已经20年了，子女都上公校，从Lynbrook毕业
，他是Murdock区的区委会会长，也做过当地体育活动的义工教练，是一个扎根社区的
居民。

东西。交通对这个房子不是劣势，而是优势。
Lawrence 旁边的一个townhouse，紧挨着Lawrence， 大概1890平尺就卖了130万左右,
还没学区, 还要交hoa。 |

但是不要找铁路以北的。
有学区的话，El Camino 以南的要是学区好，一般就贵很多。
另外有一个Saint Lawrence Academy, Saint Lawrence Elementary，是一个教会私立
，不像Mitts 那么难进去，却是比越来越颓废的公立更好的小环境。这个学校在El
Camino 以北，认识有人live walking distance到那两个学校。 |

St. Lawrence Farmers’ Market
让我们来看看圣劳伦斯农贸市场（St. Lawrence Farmers’ Market），每到周六这里便熙熙攘攘，人山人海，挤满了兜售蔬果的农民、小贩，前来购物的人们。农民们通常凌晨一点即到达市场，天蒙蒙亮，顾客们就陆陆续续赶到。看看一簸箕一簸箕的新鲜青椒、西红柿、胡萝卜、青翠的小葱、卷心菜、生菜、南瓜……，几乎都是本地农民自产自销。
如果常来这里赶集，能看到不少熟悉的农民面孔，Paul Moyer就是其中之一，他们家祖祖辈辈务农，从1799年开始在Vineland经营了100英亩农场。据Moyer介绍，圣劳伦斯农贸市场80％的产品都是农民自产自销，未经加工的绿色产品；15％的产品是加工的果酱、新鲜面包、热狗、汉堡等等，人们可以边走边吃，赶集和享受两不误；其余产品则是小贩从Ontario Food Terminal批发，来此兜售的。

绝对是天赋异禀。他已经访问了Clemson好几次，虽说他没有正面表达学校的意愿，但

发帖数: 11689 | 33 今年Clemson不出意料的止步半决赛了，不过意外的是输了那么多分，我个人认为最主
要的原因是球员配置不协调，今年好几场比赛都打的很憋屈，一手好牌没打好，这锅还
得教练背。
糖碗中最致命的问题就是QB跟其他人不搭。Deshaun Watson是个Dual threat QB，他给
Clemson带来了成功，让Kelly Bryant受益成为今年的首发QB，因为他也是个DT QB。
没错，Kelly还算不错，然而他不适合今年的Clemson，他没有Watson的长传能力，直接
浪费了豪华的WR群。比如前两年风光无限的英雄，队内最好的外接手 Renfrow，今年常
规赛直到倒数第二场打丙级球队虐菜时才拿到本赛季第一个TD，半决赛打巴马直到第四
节才接到第一个传球，这些以速度和灵巧见长的WR完全被荒废了。这个问题在面对巴马
时被无限放大，导致全场没打出什么像样的进攻。说Kelly不适合今年的Clemson，还因

Lawrence不只是写长篇的好手，中短篇也是功力非凡的。翻开任何
一本英国文学作教材用的中短篇小说选，Lawrence必有作品入选。
不管偶们对他的理解怎样，他在小说史上的地位是高高在上的。
把这样的大师级人物和依舒相提并论好象惨了点。 |

《阿拉伯的劳伦斯》（Lawrence of Arabia，David Lean），大卫.里恩[1]导演
《沙漠革命记》(Revolt in the Desert, By T.E.Lawrence)，T.E.劳伦斯[2]，吕叔湘译
，辽宁教育出版社1997年3月
《沙漠革命记》一书是《智慧七柱》[3]的节本（not 洁本），而吕叔湘的译本又是该书
的节译本，薄薄一册，读得很不过瘾。幸好还有电影可以互相参照——《阿拉伯的劳伦斯
》一片正是根据了《智慧七柱》来改编的。
我们在传记、回忆录、小说等各式文学作品中，经常可以读到“他的一生充满了传奇色彩
”一类感叹的话，可是这些所谓的传奇，和劳伦斯那短暂而“充满了传奇色彩”的一生比
较起来，会显得苍白、黯淡、平凡、乏味，几乎不值一提。
T.E.Lawrence，1888年8月15日生于北威尔士的特利马多克村，1935年5月19日在英国某地
的公路上骑摩托车遇险不救。电影反映了第一次世界大战中在土耳其帝国统治之下的阿拉

郑溟隨教授于佐治亚理工学院和宾州州立大学获得硕士和博士学位。他的研究课题主要
