虽然我娃知道这个，但我觉得其实她还是没有理解为啥这次是乘以 (1/3) 而不是
加上 (-3)，只是在依葫芦画瓢，将来难一些的可能会出问题。
我觉得让娃娃们能比较容易理解的角度，是因为这个方程的表达式最高层的运算是
好比 “glue by multiplication”，所以是乘上 multiplicative inverse 而
不是加上 additive inverse。
不过我觉得我娃还不太理解上面这个，估计有一天会搞出个 3x^2 = 9x，两边乘以
(1/x)，结果漏掉 x=0 那个根。。。因为零没有 multiplicative inverse，
所以这方程的标准解法就突然变成把 9x 移到左边然后 distributive property
把 x 拿出来，变形成 x(3x -9) = 0 。
举了实例以后小结一下，依葫芦画瓢确有其优势：快速掌握并且解题速度快。但问题

没想到 standard error 和 standard deviation 的定义在这个版上也会有争议啊。
比如一个服从标准正态分布变量的 standard deviation 就是 1。一个来自标准正态分
布的样本，如果把它的均数作为一个随机变量的话，它的 standard deviation 就是 1
/n^0.5，其中 n 为样本大小，对吧？那么这个均数的 standard deviation 也就是样
本的一个 standard error，对吧？由于样本均数是总体均数的一个 estimator，所以
我的理解是 standard error 就是 estimator 的deviation。
有些场合，比如meta-analysis 的文献中，很多提到用 inverse-variance-weighting
的方法。由于没有明确指明，我就不明白这个variance 用的是样本本身的variance，
还是estimator 的variance？inverse-variance-weighting 方法的中心思想就是根据

rates, I wrote Canadian Recession Coming Up.
Following the rate cut, the yield curve in Canada inverted out to three
years. Inversion means near-term interest rates are higher than long-term
rates.
