什么真的是很随便。反正没有 peer review 。文章就是东拼西凑的糊弄一
下而已。而且美国政府有什么需要，就有什么记者。枪手很多。
美国记者的文字说实在也不自由。比如说，主流媒体一直统一使用
"insurgent" 来形容 iraq 的反抗，统一用 "radical cleric" 来形容
al Sadr 。这本身就是一种政府新闻控制的表现。大部分美国人都注意不到
这一点。
至于媒体监督，说实在，没看到多少。很多腐败的发现是政府内部的调查发
现的。只不过是通过媒体发布而已。随着互联网的发展，记者的作用更是没
剩下多少。
相反，美国的媒体事实上个非常有效的政府宣传工具。看惯了国内的宣传以后，
看美国的报道如果去掉崇拜心理，就会发现美国的政府宣传也不少，甚至更多。

1. 如果入关没有给够6个月，申请延期的成功率高吗？（没有给够6个月不知什么原因

Interview当天我们到的比较早，开始警卫不让进去，我说我们需要用厕所，因为开了2
个小时来的。他们就让我们进去了。然后妈妈在厕所里面换衣服，化妆。出来后我们就
在门口的椅子上等，他们也没有赶我们出去。后来快到预约的时间，警卫就让我们进去
了。
在里面又等了很久，一个女的移民官来叫我们进去，让我们把东西放在椅子上，然后举
起右手发誓。要了我们三个人的ID，然后就开始翻材料问问题。
问了妈妈的名字，生日，现在的地址，就是女儿家的地址啦。然后就问当时签证来的时
候有没有打算留在这边，妈妈声音很小，因为没有准备这个问题，她大概也不知道怎么
回答好。翻译听成“是打算留在这边”。把我急坏了，可是也不能插嘴。我就给他使了

移民局又开闸了，于是大伙儿全来趟这浑水。不管是 140 还没填的，抑或是 pending
的，更不要说批了的了，尤其是七月二号没赶上车的，大家一齐冲向 485 高地。
485 填表战，又开始了！
有的同学过于紧张，简单的问题也不敢把握，向白老师 (xiaobaitu, 呢称 XBT, 又称
小白兔 JJ 或 小白兔 MM) 求助的贴子是满天飞呀！就象北京春天的柳絮。
老师和系主任咬过好几次耳朵，建议挂个咨询公司的牌子，向白老师问一个问题的收一
毛钱，＂在线等＂的算 Premium Service 多收五分。系主任胆子太小，今天老师还说
，我们动手罢！他却总说道Ｎｏ！——这是洋话，你们不懂的。否则早已发了。
所以老师抄起剪子和浆糊，助白老师和其他大侠一鼻之力。

Special Forces working with Afghan Army. The first guy through the door is
AA. His weapon is hit and he turns and runs out the door (look for sparks
when rounds hit his weapon). He is killed when he runs outside (this happens
off camera). Insurgents inside the house shoot the AA soldier through holes
in the front of the building. The Special Forces soldier neutralizes the
threat. Training makes all the difference. |

MOSCOW (AP) — Mikhail Kalashnikov, whose work as a weapons designer for the
Soviet Union is immortalized in the name of the world's most popular
firearm, died Monday at the age of 94.
Kalashnikov once aspired to design farm equipment. But even though his most
famous invention — the AK-47 assault rifle — sowed havoc instead of crops,
he often said he felt personally untroubled by his contribution to
bloodshed.

一些重大事件）看作为革命性事件的可能促发因素。这种观点再一次反映了知识份子的
天真。笔者认为，大量的群体性事件对中国政治的稳定实际上有着巨大的正面作用。当
前不少地方的地方政府软弱，中国大规模爆发群体性抗争事件的阈值因此较低，社会矛
盾也不容易有大规模的堆积。此外，当前中央政府对地方发生的群体性抗争事件采取的
基本态度就是让地方政府自己去处理。只要地方政府能控制住局面，中央就保持袖手旁
观的姿态；但是如果地方政府让事件失控，或者在处理过程中造成了流血事件，在国内
外引起广泛关注，中央政府则会对地方政府官员进行处罚。中央政府的这一做法强化了
群体性事件参加者“反贪官不反皇帝”的心态，同时也促使地方政府在处理群体性事件
时表现出了极大的多样性和灵活性，从而大大缓解了中国群体性事件走向政治化的倾向。
第六，与一些领袖终身制的国家相比，中国已经形成了一套比较成型的国家领导每

。 我是定期上NYT best seller list 查， 图书馆能借到的统统借下来， 有特别喜欢
的就把那个作者的书通通借下。 凭记忆列的今年的
1-3) Divergent， Insurgent， Allegiant 三本 – 纯粹跟风读的， 对这个系列真的
无感， 第一本硬着头皮读完， 第二三本好些，可能是自己年级大了， 对这种不贴近
生活的科幻爱情真的没啥兴趣。 不过提到跟风读的科幻爱情， 我挺喜欢the Hunger
Games 那三本的.
4-7) A Game of Thrones 五本中的后三本，也是跟风读的，整体来说还是有意思的，
就是太拖沓了，page filler 一堆一堆的。 我觉得作者要是能把这五本 压缩成三本应
该好看跟多。 电视剧比书好看
8）Unbroken – 美国老兵的真实经历，情节紧张刺激绝对不比编的那些逊色， 还有更
加增加了我对小日本的恨。。出了电影还没看， 不过大力支持
