来的大牛。
我觉得哈，bio-question -> general hypotheses -> design of profiling ->
profiling -> data mining and hypothesis generation/refining -> design of
experiments -> hypotheses validation and selection -> workable bio- and math
- model -> drug target prediction 已经是条比较成熟的 pipeline 了，不熟悉这个
套路的话可能以后会越来越被动，但做得再好也难以出新意，渐渐沦为苦力活。NIH 有
一些 grant 是专门为了做这些积累性工作的。像俺这样的新人，虽然在这种坑里做苦
力，但要把它当作自己未来方向，俺入行已经嫌太晚了，后面准备跳坑的人就更不用说
了。

可证明为错，可以"证伪" = 真科学
下面我想列出几个定义，如有任何一个statement错误，请大家探讨：
1)
真科学定义：“全部的天鹅都是白色的”(定义a)
hypotheses:
因为真科学可证明为错，只要我能找到一只黑天鹅，上面的定义就是错的。所以上面的(定义a:“全部的天鹅都是白色的”）是真科学。
data:
我找到了一只黑天鹅，根据科学可伪证性，我现在要修改这个真科学定义了，现在更新的新的真科学定义为：“天鹅里面有黑天鹅和白天鹅”（定义b)
conclusion:
这样真科学完成了(定义a)到（定义b)的迭代。所以(定义a)和（定义b)都是真科学定义
, 其中(定义a)得到了扩展。就是说科学得到发展。
2）现在的问题是：
尝试探讨这个是真伪科学定义？“世界上有UFO”(定义c)
hypotheses:
我要证明上面一句话是错的，才能判定上面一句是真科学定义。
所以，我要找到例子来说明：世界上没有UFO，这样才能证明(定义c)是错的。
data:
我可以寻找例子、图片来逐一鉴定那样东西是不是UFO, 结果(当然 我这里也是假设)每一个东西都不是UF |

其实不是一个传统的sequential testing problem,因为sample size是不变的。
假设我有p个null hypotheses要test with same data set, 并且有一个很自然的顺序去
一个一个test。如果我在某一步fail to reject the null,就不用再做下去了。我觉的
这个问题也不同于multiple testing problem in which the null hypotheses are te
sted simultaneously。 请问大侠们有没有相关的书或者文章可以参考，多谢多谢 |

H0: p1>p2. Given 90% confidence, critical value is 1.28.
H0: p1=p2. Given 90% confidence, critical values are 1.64 & -1.64.
Now suppose I conduct both hypotheses using the same sample. The test
statistic = 1.35 (should be the same for both tests). So that means p1 is
statistically higher then p2 BUT p1 and p2 are not significantly different?
I am thinking if “higher”, then should be “different”. How do you think? |

然只是罗列数据也不是好论文。
至于卖淫嫖娼这个现象自古有之，现在的欧美日发达国家仍然盛行，例如德国的卖淫属
于合法，一样不妨碍人家成为世界强国，老百姓安居乐业。
卖淫嫖娼的存在是许多复杂因素造成的，老毛所谓的杜绝卖淫嫖娼只是自己一厢情愿的

众所周知，在1949年中共建政以前，由于战火肆虐，外敌横行，中国的国土四分五裂，
满目疮痍；人民普遍食不果腹，人均寿命仅为41岁。但在今天，中国已跻身世界第二大
经济体，成为在全球有重要影响的大国；人民生活迅速改善，人均寿命已达74岁。
但问题还不至于此，对于中共的执政地位，西方的政治和知识精英即使不是直接否定，
也难掩其不快之意。这自然有其原因，在在西方媒体对中国的叙述中，有五大误解流传
