但是有两个限制

如果你在前八大校任职：
你的同事大多有在国际顶级刊物发表论文的能力。个别人有跳槽去国际一流大学任教并
拿到tenure的能力。
澳大利亚实行类似英国的培养体系。本科三年。学生如果愿意多花一年从事研究工作，
这一年被称为honours year，一般平均分达到75的学生才能进入第四年。这些学生中为
数不少能够和你合作发A类或者以上的论文。博士生水平和其它地方的学校一样参差不
齐。有一些能和你合作发相当不错的国际论文。有少数人能在毕业后去国际顶尖大学任
教并最终拿到tenure。
政府的科研经费主要来源于Australian Research Council （ARC）。每年的ARC申请都
是学院里的重头戏。经费的发放很严格，主要看publication。如果能够拉到国际知名
的学者联合申请，通过的概率也很高。ARC分为discovery和linkage两种。后者是政府
和industry联合资助，比较容易申请，金额也比较高。

1，澳洲不是所有grant都可以帮学生付学费，至少ARC grant肯定不可以，这里学费大
概2万刀出头/年
2，可以拿到学校tuition fee waiver的overseas student，基本上要equivalent to
1st class honour，这样的学生，通常也会拿到不止一个offer
3， 国内会有些公派奖学金的学生来澳洲，但是这类学生通常不是最好的，最好的学生
不需要走公派这条路，而且目前我见过的公派学生，英文都不是太好。。。

这不是你的dream的东西，dream的东西是不在乎学位的，要么你境界不够高，还被
degree, honour所困。
我本人理工科tenured了，钢琴练到在欧洲开过100场音乐会（包括很多伴奏，重奏）。
本来也想搞一个DMA，后来想想没必要。 从纯演奏来说，还不如出钱请私人大牛来教，
其实学位课程是不会教会你多少的。至于要学什么合声，作曲理论边角料的东西，直接
去听课不就成了。
这只是我个人观点。。 |

高中省重点。
本科在上交世界排名前150的学校（国外）。
大学前两年没好好学，成绩一般，唯独编程和算法课还不错。参加过ACM ICPC
regional contest，排名4x/9x（因为有神一般的队友）, Honourable Mention。
大三开始由于个人原因所有课全挂，然后停学了。
四年后回到学校， GPA 4/4 把本科剩下的课上完。
现在在一个consulting firm，给一个500强的软件公司做J2EE相关的开发，2年经验。
近日立志发奋。失去的已经失去了，未来的还想尽力争取。丑陋的本科成绩单已无法改
变，进Google的梦想却仍未放弃。
恳请各位指点像我这样有污点的学生是否已和Google无缘了？以下几种方法是否在一定
程度上有弥补的功效?
1．再读一个Master, GPA 4/4。(只能Part-time读， 要花两年。)
2．钻研算法，专心做题，争取在Google Code Jam/Top coder取得一定的名次。
