university payroll said that I cannot have treaty benefits and they did not
honour the treaty benefits ($5000 tax exemption) when they withheld the tax.

一般中国大陆的硕士不能直接对应
有些学校在这上面很死板(特别是在奖学金评定上)
不过,group 8的学校由于奖学金多得多而且希望吸收海外优秀学生
一般只是要求海外硕士先读个1年硕士然后过度到博士
这样正常博士读完也就是3-4年
你如果生物硕士其间一直算是做科研而且有点成果(各种形式的),可以申请看一看(同时申
请多家)
看你具体的方向,可以在unimelb, usyd, monash, uq, uwa, anu等学校中选择
关于移民,获得澳大利亚博士且年龄不算很大的话,显然是最先获得PR的一群人,独立评估的分数大大超过移民基本要求 |

同事，学生和科研经费
如果你在前八大校任职：
你的同事大多有在国际顶级刊物发表论文的能力。个别人有跳槽去国际一流大学任教并
拿到tenure的能力。
澳大利亚实行类似英国的培养体系。本科三年。学生如果愿意多花一年从事研究工作，
这一年被称为honours year，一般平均分达到75的学生才能进入第四年。这些学生中为
数不少能够和你合作发A类或者以上的论文。博士生水平和其它地方的学校一样参差不
齐。有一些能和你合作发相当不错的国际论文。有少数人能在毕业后去国际顶尖大学任
教并最终拿到tenure。
政府的科研经费主要来源于Australian Research Council （ARC）。每年的ARC申请都
是学院里的重头戏。经费的发放很严格，主要看publication。如果能够拉到国际知名
的学者联合申请，通过的概率也很高。ARC分为discover |

英语里面其实从字面上来翻译是没有不用谢这个词的。一般以英国的老式绅士风度来表
示不用谢，就点头笑一下就可以了，不用说话。我上小学的时候也有过英语课，老师教
的Not at all 几乎在真正的英语国家很少很少用到，算是误教。Not at all只用在回
答对方过奖了你的贡献，适用范围很小。
最常用的正式用语是you are welcome，但是也不是100%适用。比如你付帐以后，收银
员说thank you，你也应该回答thank you，重音放在you上表示你多谢他们的服务。如
果你提供了帮助，可以说you are welcome，也可以用my pleasure。如果对方是你的
上级，要员，或者名人一类，还可以用It's my honour。
年轻人在休闲情况下没有那么多限制，一句通用，最常的是cheers。cheers可以表示谢
，也可以用来不用谢，反正年轻人的方式自由很多。澳洲口语里no worries也很常用，
同样意思的还有no problem，表示没问题，小事一桩。 |
