combat are heroes, but not 抗日名将. Only 将 who's battlefield exploit is
extraordinary could be call 名将. Zhang at most was a good soldier and good
officer. He had neither the command nor the battle record to qualify. |

新世纪的中美交往说明，美国“讲一点理”还可能是被自己傲慢的判断蒙蔽了。由于判
断失误，美国对中国搞起了和平演变，近来已经承认了失败。但无论过去、现在，还是
将来一段时间，“美帝国主义者很傲慢”这个观察都会是正确的。要理解美国对中政策
，这是关键。美国种种匪夷所思的行为，都是因为傲慢。
美国人经过朝鲜战争，才真正认识到并且承认了中国的军事实力。只有美国真正认识到
中国的全球经济实力，内心里放下傲慢，承认对抗没有出路，中美交往才会走向正常。
这虽然很明显，但需要一个过程，中国不可能靠谈判让美国人服气，需要展示自身真实
的实力。在这之前，美国人内心挣扎之下政策会摇摆不定，带来高度不确定性。
一．傲慢的意识形态

historical book written by Thomas Cahill.
爱尔兰和不列颠一样，早就罗马化（希腊化）和基督化了，因为孤悬海外，没有被日尔
曼部落血洗。而不列颠都被占领后又 “去基督化”和“去希腊化”了。
因此，爱尔兰保留了古希腊和基督教文明的血脉，成为西欧重生的种子，西欧因此能够
浴火重生。
比如说，野蛮化的不列颠后来是靠了爱尔兰教会、Philadelphia 教会，和大马士革教
会的共同努力，才又一次基督化。
西方文明得以再次奠基。

Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford when he might have been drafted, and
so was not drafted. There has been conjecture about how induction was
delayed until his matriculation at Oxford.
Trump had a series of student deferments. When these expired, a doctor
certified that he had bad feet, leading to a 4F exemption (“unfit”). There
has been suspicion about the validity of that certification.
