1. Fiberoptic bronchoscopy is part of the evaluation of a patient with
hemoptysis, but it is typically performed after a chest x-ray (CXR). It is
the next step if a CXR shows a mass, if the CXR is normal and there are
major risk factors for cancer, or if the CXR is normal and there are no risk
factors for cancer, but there is a recurrence of hemoptysis after weeks to
months of observation. Then remember, if you have a patient with hemoptysis
with past history of smoking ,your first step |

the BCG vaccine effects wane over time and depends on the age of the patient
it might not be positive, the new skin test agent is designed to cause less
cross reaction from BCG vaccination,
China is considered a high risk country(one of the 7 per CDC),
so per CDC last guideline i think from year 2000, this case is considered
LTBI, or latent TB infection, meaning that patient does not have active
infection(symptoms such as fever, chill, weight loss, night sweat, coughing
with hemoptysis...) but |

Match的结果终于尘埃落定，周1等电邮的时候非常紧张，因为成败就在此了，虽然一直
告诉自己，今年只是热热身，成败都可以接受，但到真的揭晓的时候，还是很紧张，毕
竟一旦卷入其中就身不由己，何况自己也还是有所付出。到周4等match program的时候
虽然也有点紧张，但程度已经大大减少，1个原因是毕竟match上才是头等大事，去哪里
尚在其次，还有1个原因是心理还是有所准备了，虽然希望留在home school，但直觉告
诉我恐怕是非常困难了，在我rank list上第二位的program应该就是我要去的地方，果
不其然。经过几天的等待，发现果然是要搬家了。

帮助我的人，我的总结如下。
1st attempt: CS fail in the CIS component.
2nd attempt 1 month later: all three areas are high performance 星星 在最右
边.
总结：
1)关于准备考试。Step 2 CS first aid book足够。Mini cases 锻炼 developing
ddx, full-length cases 锻炼问问题，随机应变，和记忆的能力。Full-time的话一
个月足够。
2)关于补习班，还是很有必要的。补习班我上了两个，usmle gold review –new
York 和 Ximedus- Florida. 两个各有千秋。 Ximedus 组织更好，更偏重于
communication 和 interpersonal skills 的训练，也是外国学生最欠缺的。前提是对
一般的病例要比较熟悉。 USMLE Gold纽约感觉乱哄哄的，但是更擅长对病例的总结，
