hotwater heater， 电加热的，工作很好，水量也够用，就是觉得原来的型号估计不够
节能。不知道是不是最好换个新的好的heater？
因为在这个房子会呆最多5－6年，不知道值不值得换？
大家有换过，然后电费降下来的了嘛？ |

will require a value for each faucet, but some area do not.
It should be ok to leave the water heater on (unless you plan to drain the
water heater completely). But if you want to be extra careful, you can just
turn it off it is electric or turn to pilot if gas.

是温水，每秒两三滴的样子。我把热水出口给关了的话，就不滴了（比较奇怪，因为滴
水的地方应该在热水开关的前头呀？）。大家知道是什么原因吗，还能修吗？ 是不是
只能换了？

但如果开热水，也就是经过一个tankless water heater加热过的水，里面就有鼓呛味
这个water heater也不算太旧了，大概用了5年。

rarely take shower at the same time. Currently we have a 65-gallon electric
water heater, which is way too big. The heater is on the ground level, and
we have 2 bathrooms on the 3rd floor. Water pressure has not been a problem.

原来google过，爆米花的声音是水太硬了，把water heater里的水放出 （drain out）

昨天一件化纤衣物正好掉落在旁边的heater上，衣物被烤焦后激发烟雾报警器，马上打
开门窗通风，报警器大约在3分钟后熄灭。
损失状况：
房间铺的是地毯，heater下面和附近的地毯被局部烤焦，被烤焦的面积大约是1米x1米
，请参见照片。
房东索赔：
今天房东给了我一张单子，让我按照单子把房间复原，单子如下：
Fogger spray $100
Vent cleaning $300
Ozone machine $250
Antimicrobial $80
Dump fee $80
Removal carpet and pat $200
Wipe down room $400
Total: $1410
房东说，我不仅要复原地毯，而且烟熏已经被吸附到了墙壁和天花板上（房间内装修是
木格板加涂料），所以整个房间的墙壁都要用特殊的清洁液，找专业公司清理，最后还
要用Ozone消毒。
看到房东的单子我就晕了，而且他们现在说整个房间都被影响了，烟雾颗粒被吸附在墙
壁里面了，我又不能证明不是？现在很晕，不知道怎么处理，也不清楚我的责任到底限

。这点可以理解，毕竟是现烧，但慢很多吗？用少量水的时候也蛮多的，每次都要等就

system to supply hot air to the whole house. Thus, you can use the same
duct system for 中央空调. Save a lot money on duct work.
If the house is small, you may also consider 分体式或者窗式空调 instead of

漏水，修valve 要$200, 但不一定是valve的问题。如果这个问题修了，还有漏水，
plumber 建议我装expansion tank, 因为这里building code 本身最近几年都要求要装
expansion tank，这个花费大概需要$350。 而换一个新的 50 gallon的 hot water
heater （包括expansion tank） 大概是$900, plumber 劝我直接换一个，不知道要不
要换。所以想问问这里有经验的大牛，一般hot water heater 能用几年？多谢多谢。 |
