从1991年开始，综合MPG在22.5 mpg（或10.5L/100KM)的非truck或van车辆需要交纳这
个燃油附加税从$1,000至$7,700不等。
下面这个表列出的是2010款须交燃油附加税的车款

举例说明：
Ford Crown Victoria ave. MPG 22.0
Chevrolet Corvette ave. MPG 20.5
Mercedes-Benz S550 ave. MPG 21.6
这些车大概要交$5000+的税，这些税钱干嘛去了，去治理空气质量了还是去投入清洁能
源研发了？

发帖数: 7856 | 2 gas guzzler tax貌似是联邦税。由EPA决定征收车型。这是2013 model year征收车型
列表：

都是V8 4.0以上的豪华轿车和跑车。相信这些车主都不在乎这点税。唯一的例外居然是
凯迪拉克XTS棺材车和加长limo（V6 3.6）。看来小马拉大车并不省油。
SUV，van，truck不属于征收范围。这不太合理。很多SUV和truck的mpg比这些车低多了。 |

The combined mpg value is based on 55% city driving and 45% highway driving.

Corvette grand sport, 6.2L V8, 430HP
M3 2009 4.0L V8, double-clutch transmission (DCT), 414HP.
价钱两者差不多, 不加那些没用的电子东西, M3不到6万.
各有各的长处和短处: M3高转速引擎, 低端torque不够, 好在转速上升很快. MPG很差,
要加GAS GUZZLER TAX. DCT 很好用, 比它MANUAL的快. 多一排座位, 实用.
Corvette grand sport, torque够大, 强劲的引擎. 被称为男人的浪漫车型. MPG出乎
意料的好, 听说高速会自动关掉一半的缸,所以才省. 即使是假的, 也不用付GAS
GUZZLER TAX. 坏处是不实用, 车子里面地方太小, 不能和女朋友做什么... |

Vehicle: 2009 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class GL450 4dr SUV AWD (4.7L 8cyl 7A)
Will never own a Mercedes again. Non-stop money-pit from the day I bought it
to the day I sold it. Beware the air suspension on Mercedes-Benz. Mine went
"out" every six months or so. Paint peeled off around the windows just when
it was out of warranty. I estimate I spent $6,000 a year in repairs. It is
also a huge gas guzzler.
