斯克里普斯研究院的研究人员使用化学方法，生成了两个新的核苷酸，称为X和Y。他们
把一对XY导入常见的大肠杆菌中。结果细菌可以正常地复制，虽然速度比平常稍慢一点
，但确实可以像复制天然的核苷酸一样复制X和Y。文章提到，在15小时里，只完成了大
约24次复制。
