楼上说的那个Nancy也是，我以前在学校里也有个中国女生自取名为Nancy，老实说，挺
傻逼的，可能她自己还不知道。
我女儿出生前，有一次我在儿子的学校里(preschool)和director聊天，说女儿的名字
还没起好，然后两人就起名的话题东扯西扯起来，我说Victoria不错, director听了哈
哈哈得笑得气也接不上了，笑得眼泪都流出来了，然后止住笑，说Victoria is my

办公室的关系太近了不行，远了也不行。中国人往往是与老美关系太疏远，对工作很不
利，自己也不舒服。同族人，有着相似的文化背景，会自来熟，与老美交往就不一样了
，要花点心思。
曾有个朋友，跟同事搞不好关系，总是疑神疑鬼，有一天竟打电话给我，说IT的人偷看
她的电子邮箱，故意把她的电脑搞坏了，情绪很激动。我告诉她，你说的这两件事都不
可能发生，是你自己太紧张了。
虽跟上层老美没什么接触，但与周围的同事搞好关系其实不很难，我曾给朋友两条建议
：一、见面三句话，别光Hi一声就走人。二、“糖衣炮弹”，这可是花小钱，绝不同于
国内的腐败。最简单的如放个玻璃罐在书架子上，里面装些五颜六色的糖果，最能吸引
人驻足。老美不管成人还是孩子，整天都离不开吃。谁走过，大多会停下来拿块糖吃，
自然也是个说话的机会了。现代办公都靠电子邮件，人与人的直接交往越来越少，如不
主动找机会交流，一天甚至一周不说话都不奇怪，工作中要合作也别扭。
要想做得更好一点，逢中国年节，发个电子邮件给大家，介绍点传统，再准备点小吃，
