Every now and then, someone will try to prevent a debate about global
warming by claiming that a consensus of earth scientists supports the
existence of anthropogenic global warming. Well, that so-called “consensus
” is imaginary.

Sachs chief Jon Corzine, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after a
tentative deal with a buyer fell apart.
The firm's meltdown in less than a week is a stunning setback for Corzine,

About a quarter of those surveyed say they expect Chinese markets to be

这人70年代去了北京，说北京那时就是个village。前几年又去了北京，说现在和北京
比，纽约就是个village，对中国的发展赞不绝口。又说诺贝尔和平奖就是搞笑，戈尔
不应该拿，奥巴马也不应该拿（虽然他投票选了奥巴马）。总体来说这人看来比较实在
，有一说一的那种。
意思大概有几点：
1. Global warming的文章有选择的选取数据。比如一张温度随时间的变化表选取某一
时段是上升的，但放在更长的时间尺度就是不变的。又比如某文章说非洲某年农作物产
量下降了1%来论证global warming的影响，但实际上非洲农产量只有美国1%，而美国那
年的产量上升了不少，非洲的农业根本是insignificant的。诸如此类的。
2. Global warming现在变成了一个不可以评论的东西。他写信给美国物理学会讲
global warming不对，人家回答他说这东西已经早有定论了。既然都不可以讨论，所以
就不是科学了，变成宗教了。所以根本是伪科学。
3. 搞global warming的人的motivation是骗经费。

发帖数: 616 | 41 刚开始申请的时候，面试要等一个月。后来收到email说有空缺，两天后就可以面试。
面试基本没什么问题。主要就是取指模和拍照。过几天收到卡。由于是 federal ID，
可以坐飞机用。如果不开车，就不用另外再带 driver's license 了。
这次去中国是从 DFW 走。有专门的 TSA Pre 通道，Global Entry 持有者可以用，不
用脱鞋、不用脱外套、电脑不需要从包里拿出来。
回美国的时候是 LAX。Global Entry 过 Immigration 是全自助式，很快，不用排长队。
过了 Immigration 后，取行李，然后过海关。过海关也有 Global Entry 专用道。开
始不知道，被忽悠走普通通道，后来才醒悟。Global Entry 通道不仅快，而好像海关
不检查（反正我没看到抽检的）。
但在 LAX 转 US Domestic 飞机的时候，在 terminal 8 的安检没有 TSA Pre 通道，
结果还是与普罗大众一齐排队，也不能享受特殊待遇。
如果一行几人，则需要每个人都有 Global Entry 才有意义。否则拉下一个，所有人都

间的平均呗。过去一百年，嗯，的确是warming了。但是既然是一百年，那怎么不看看
以前的数据呢？比如历史记载非常明确有很多事情气候远比现在暖和。二季水稻种到了
西安。所以一百年的平均也一定要看上升的那一段。这不是废话嘛。
总结一下。面对一堆数据，我来调控取平均值的长度，并且决定看哪段不看哪段数据。
那我当然完全可以证明global warming啦。其实想证实啥都成。戈尔和其他很多同学正
是看到了global warming的重大缺陷，和将来被证伪的可能，所以才转到climate
change的。无论数据是啥，无论怎么平均，无论看哪段数据，都证明了climate change
