我们家弟弟上幼儿园时，有次在家长会和他的老师有过相关的对话。我的关心话题是，
如何不宠溺孩子？老师给我讲了下面一个故事：
她是一个单亲妈妈，一手拉扯大两个孩子。她儿子19岁那年，自己买了辆车。首付是用
自己打工赚来的，贷款需要妈妈共贷。办好手续，母子俩走出贷款办公室时，儿子对她
讲了一句话，我听了顿时眼眶发热：
妈妈，感谢你，感谢我们有贫穷的生活。
因为是单亲，家庭条件不好，妈妈一直努力工作（她真的是一位非常敬业非常好的老师
，嗯。）而孩子们也从小就很独立，打工挣钱养家。
书里谈到很多不同的家庭，清贫的，优裕的，家长是如何教育孩子，看待金钱，如何计
划，如何。。。。
好像是作者本身吧，小时候爸爸曾经去银行，把他一个月的收入，兑成一块钱，几麻袋
的钱，浩浩荡荡地拿回家，把孩子们瞬间秒杀。然后哗啦啦，把给山姆大叔的税钱，给
划拉走。然后，一步步告诉孩子，这些钱是房子贷款，这些是饭钱，这些是保险。三下
五除二，一堆钱已经所剩无几。这个画面到现在还在他的脑海里

发帖数: 2798 | 3 就着你这个话题，我刚才问孩子们想要零花钱吗，他们的回答都是不要。
我们的做法是孩子们要什么就买什么。对钱的观念好象和性格、排行也有关，弟弟和老
三都有明显的用买东西来证明自己被爱的年龄段，老二在新晋为夹心饼干的时候，每个
星期都要求买玩具，每次挑大个的买，我们现在常嘲笑他买的火车、乐高轻松上５千块
了。现在轮到老三了，春假的时候他每天要买一样东西。老大似乎不在乎买东西，不过
她现在容易陷入担心大学学费，怎么承诺她不用担心钱都没有用。
我个人认为富养的孩子大方一些，不在乎么。不过那本书里对“generous”也许是不同
的定义，西方更倾向于强调钱是一种responsibility，每个人不过是个钱财的管理者。
大方也许是指对于有意义的事情，能够有魄力的给出，而不是和人日常交往时大手大脚
。清高的理论是这样，不过我觉得现实是只有酒肉朋友才是真正朋友，哈哈哈。
钱永远都是不够的，所以孩子们必须学会克制，不过这种学习的机会我觉得太多了，想
不学都难。钱是不错的武器，能够用它来打赢几场有意义的战争，我觉得应该好好合计
合计。。。 |

以前跟大家讲过，因为加州经济不好，学区请家长捐钱来补贴教育。今年的筹款
deadline是本月底，如果筹不到足够的钱的话，学区就会再减掉四个老师。刚才听到一
个老美跟我讲，他们学校里有些亚裔告诉他，"It is our belief in my community
that we did not give money to the public schools". 好像这些亚裔就是要占别人
的便宜，take free ride一样。我听了很吃惊也觉得很被羞辱。那些人自己不愿意捐就

Background: 去年因为各种原因，麦地有点萧条，作为申请人不见好贴心里不免焦虑。
就在此环境中，几位既往study partner组了个pathology iv group。宗旨：此群不练
习iv，只用于定期交流各pg面试情况。

Result: 小组共15名成员，8名match path，4名match IM。
Conclusion: 虽然当年麦地求助无门，却发现4～7年前各位前辈热心的面经分享，受益
无穷，给面试增添不少信心。遂鼓动小组全体成员，独乐乐不如众乐乐，为2015申请
path童鞋鼓鼓气。

前言与按语 近月加拿大联邦移民局无预警把投资移民一刀切断；本来法律不溯既往，
例应已申请的应予保留，依法取捨。这项移民原定的配额，大比例為中国大陆地区申请
者所佔。移民局没有正式说词，只敷衍说可向个别省份去申请，这比联邦的条件更宽鬆
云。这显然卸责的说词；并隐约的透露；中国大陆的投资移民，得到核准前来，很多放
下妻儿，主要负责的投资者却又回去，甚至未完成履行投资移民的责任。然这是加拿大
移民条例的漏洞，大可以从速立法补救，从严审核申请者；也不能武断新的投资移民必
如以前的不履行责任！申请者的费用又高，等候长时间等导致的损失，不是常说国际公
义的加拿大政府所為！这大批中国投资移民要集体向加政府诉讼；不能说没有法理。中
国外交部的配合是应该的；加拿大移民局会这样对待英、美、法的投资移民申请者？如

前言与按语 近月加拿大联邦移民局无预警把投资移民一刀切断；本来法律不溯既往，
例应已申请的应予保留，依法取捨。这项移民原定的配额，大比例為中国大陆地区申请
者所佔。移民局没有正式说词，只敷衍说可向个别省份去申请，这比联邦的条件更宽鬆
云。这显然卸责的说词；并隐约的透露；中国大陆的投资移民，得到核准前来，很多放
下妻儿，主要负责的投资者却又回去，甚至未完成履行投资移民的责任。然这是加拿大
移民条例的漏洞，大可以从速立法补救，从严审核申请者；也不能武断新的投资移民必
如以前的不履行责任！申请者的费用又高，等候长时间等导致的损失，不是常说国际公
义的加拿大政府所為！这大批中国投资移民要集体向加政府诉讼；不能说没有法理。中
国外交部的配合是应该的；加拿大移民局会这样对待英、美、法的投资移民申请者？如
果说没有歧视，能说服人吗？
友人林达敏君写了一篇专文《加拿大种族歧视的本质和表现》，正好对上述事件甚
至所有的歷史事件，如向中国人入境徵收人头税、〈四三苛例〉、禁止中国妇女入境等
