furlough" 好很多。可惜政府工作的一个重要特性就是稳定，所以基本能不炒就不炒。
现在furlough肯定难免了，furlough一来，很多agency的alternative work schedule
估计要收回了，furlough带来的假期很大一部分估计会被alternative work schedule
抵消了。到时估计是钱少挣了，假期也不见得多出多少。国债这么高，接下来几年内砍
预算都是热门话题，在政府工作的会一年不如一年，有能力的还是到private section
自谋生路也不错。别说政府，美帝整个都在走向下坡路，哪天离开美国也不是没可能的
。当初为了过上好日子来到了美国，以后也可能以同样的理由离开美国。 |

你说的很对，主要精力还是放在找新工作上。而且我确实处理地不够好。但是现在回头
想想，以我对HR的了解，其实不该试图去和HR交流的；如果不是经理让我和她谈，我也
不会那么草率地和她谈。现在经理也没什么话说了；HR在做决定、寄信的时候压根就没
通知经理(之前提过，我和经理都是中国人，HR对我们都不是很信任）。下次遇到类似
情况，应该第一时间向劳工部投诉先把自己保护起来再说。
今天和律师助理谈，她们也说了at will的都很难弄；但是如果是对待外国雇员的话，
就另当别论。
在我跟HR说联邦法律三天纠正之前，我是非常诚肯地跟她讨论的，提出的解决办法之一
就是用我自己的PTO，但她死活不同意，说这个furlough如果让我用了PTO,别的雇员（
主要是若干美国人）会有意见什么的，还说了很多各式各样地有关或无关或真或假的信
息。最后我没办法了才说，如果你连这个个小错都不愿意纠正的话，就是违反联邦法律
；然后她又说我的职位即将被取消什么的。不过话说回来，这个HR因为之前的种种，压
根对我严重缺乏信任。

V的东西，十个小时的颠簸，来到DENVER。还记得在最后快出小区的路口，小儿子跟上来
，给了最后一个HIGH FIVE，看着他在后视镜里越来越小的身影，鼻子一酸，眼睛就湿了

记得到DENVER的时候，正好夕阳西下，太阳照得我睁不开眼睛，沿着70，225，最后宿在

health。
但是你做accountant恐怕常常会被furlough，至少又是5％的paycut。
State的福利比Fed的好，但工资低一些，所以总体差不多。从前Fed没有furlough过，

那个sequester的法律是这样规定的，比如说去年同意给你90块钱（1月1-9月30）花，
从明天开始你在这期间只能拿到80块去花(假如cut 11%)。 你可能在过去2月已经花了
20块，你在以后的7个月只有 60 块了。 问题是你仍认为总统和议会会搞出来一个新东
东取代这个Sequester，在下来的一个或2个月仍然照原来的每月10块花。
就因为同样的期望， 国防部长说的军方furlough从 late 4月开始， 这样到9月底只有
5个多月时间，同时军队编制不furlough，每人就得减20%。 |
