误差的行为
如果无线电有静电杂音什么的，说出来的短促fox容易被盖掉，但是长一些的foxtrot可
能还听见一点trot或者fox什么的，抗干扰能力强些

you would do fine in either. although the first group tends to be a little
more formal and older, swing is popular among young folks again, so it should
be fun. latin is of course hot. so it depends on whether you want to learn
more latin vs ballroom. i think you'll have fun either way.

漂亮妹妹(排名不分先后): Kolmogorov（卡尔默契懦夫娜），Hyades的partner(sorry, f

帅帅哥哥(排名不分先后): xuli, Hyades, (又忘了这位帅哥的帅名，都怪音乐有点吵
哎，叫R吧)，me（我在最后，其他3位不分先后:)）
先来说说Promenade的环境。Promenade是个半圆的场地，我们都坐在半圆的外边来聊天，
听音乐。场地很大，人不算多。
灯光一般，音响也一般，大镜子很远。这样好，不看到镜子里的自己，大概跳起来更舒服
，反正初学。
舞曲是一般的ballroom，什么都有的。我喜欢。
xuli和懦夫娜的standard,是尤其的好，架式很好，动作很优美。我觉得重心处理的非常好
，动静自如一致，foxtrot,
waltz, tango这些都是拿手戏了，练练参加比赛是很好的。xuli架子撑的很好，懦夫娜向
后仰的很适中，俩人步调很一致，然后重心移动也非常一致，象foxtrot这类行 |

。一个月的课结束，我们这些新手就被迫去参加年度的哈佛新手大赛。这个活动也是哈佛
的传统，在每年秋天早些时候把new comer和bronze放一起聚聚，也好为接下来的真比赛热
热身。我当时并非很热心的要去，可是一个漂亮朋友问我是否愿意和她一起去，我就勉强
同意了。
我们要比赛的是American style的foxtrot和east coast swing.这俩我们学得最好，因为
哈佛team总是这样的,先安排些相对简单的american style的诱饵，然后把我们给诱进int
ernational style. Foxtrot里头我们就学了些“slow,slow,quick,quick”，promenade,
和underarm turn。这点东西刚够我们在场子里边逛逛而不用停下来的。SWing里边我们也
只是知道一些简单的，如change places, 停步/启动，和一两个bronze的花样。因为我从
来没有和她跳过（我忘了为什么当时没有和我分配好的舞伴跳了）。我们决定赛前大略排

不知道为什么，比赛的时候一点都不觉的，呵呵。比赛小错大错犯了一堆，不过整体来说
自己感觉还可以，教练说我们超额完成任务。 ：） 说说比赛吧。
这是第一次参加比赛，去的是个规模不是很大的比赛。 USABDC South Regional Comp.
参加了Collegiate和Amateur两个组别的Internatinal standard prechampion的比赛，比
赛包括W,T,F,Q。前后准备了1个半月吧。
上午的collegiate比赛人不多，我们那组总共就3对couple。 一对从北卡来，看了他们的拉丁很有
味道， standard稍微差点吧。 另一对从是从yale来的，绝对的白种俊男美女，志在必得
的气势，一上来还真给了我们不少压力呢，呵呵。 两个人frame，感觉和动作难度都不错
，就是跟音乐有点问题，所以估计在waltz和foxtrot上吃了不少亏。比下来我们waltz发
挥超常，tango小错不断，foxtrot体验到了从来没有过的smoothness，quickstep关 |

i know '慢--慢--快－快＇is for american style foxtrot (also called american

very difficult to dance foxtrot to, and it doesn't have the usual foxtrot
music characteristics which most people are used to. Of course Luca is
capable of doing that, but I doubt it would work for most people... |

are similar. You can basically do a swing dance to a foxtrot music. And the
quickstep music and very similar to that of samba. However, I realized a
long time ago that quickstep music is the exactly the same as lindy hop

我不太明白几点啊，什么叫公婆帮楼主带孩子做家务，敢情楼主
的孩子不是楼主老公的？楼主老公干嘛去了，凭啥公婆帮了忙，楼主
老公屁事没有，就是楼主必须要去还这个人情?
买车票这是小事么，春运期间，北京那地方，买2张卧铺真的是要么求爷爷告
奶奶，要么自己很早去火车站或者代售点排队，还不一定买得到。而且售票员一般
也不同时卖2张下铺的。退了的火车票又怎么算？那个百分之几十的退票费是公婆出
还是楼主姐姐姐夫出？万一楼主姐姐请假去买票，被老板骂了，她找谁哭去？
你公婆要求你做一件事（买车票），你没做好这件事，你要态度谦虚的说：
对不起，这事情我没做好。您看，你们打个飞机回去，我给你们出头等仓机票，
其他出租车钱我都给你们掏，五星级宾馆我也出钱，都是用儿媳妇我自己的私房钱，
绝对不会让老公掏一分，这样成不？
外人还真没见过那么不客气的外人。而且我觉得对外人好对自己人随便这种认知很奇怪，
陪在你身边，最可能帮你的都是自己人，为啥你反而对自己人随便，对外人好？
还有我不明白，为啥楼主老公可以吼可以道德低下，楼主就必须高素质修养好？

不像有些ID那么有经验，能说出很具体的建议来，比如foxtrot 和 lilyamao 的帖子都
让我觉得很受教育。不过看起来现在问题集中在几点上面：
1. 姐姐买票。
虽然公婆有需要理应帮忙，我也同意上面有ID说的八成是知道姐姐在那边有能力去买票
才要求这么高，但是还是觉得，他们以及老公是因为觉得有那个3万欠款的存在，才会
好意思请你姐姐这么麻烦去排队的。你家里爸爸不愿麻烦你们，那是他的体贴。但是请
相信的确，有的老人是不愿委屈自己的。尤其旅途长的时候——他们从北京到哪里？而
且我们现在说的是从美国回去北京，经过了一个20小时左右的trip之后，对老人来说很
疲惫，如果有可能，无论如何不想爬上铺了吧。
姐姐生日排队一天，的确有点郁闷。可是公婆也不知道这一点吧？
所以还是这样：如果你实在不愿意这样麻烦姐姐，就把钱还了，或者用你的私房钱给姐

东北部大约15所大学都来了，Cornell, Columbia U, NYU, Upenn, Princeton,
Brooklyn College, U Delaware, Penn State, etc.还有一些NY Upstate的studio的人
来，不过他们都是silver或者gold level的。据说是Rutgers Dance Competition史上最
多参赛人员的一次，每样dance基本都要从quarterfinal或者semifinal开始比起，竞争
进入最后6名的 final。
Got 5 ribbons in Rutgers Intercollegiate Dance Competition--3rd swing, 4th
cha-cha, 4th rumba, 5th foxtrot, 3rd samba (fun dance); didn't make into the
finals for waltz and tango this time。 :( |
