舒乙对于钱钟书的评论——我在中国现代文学馆听他演说时听到的，记得不一定准确，
但大致思想不会错。舒乙说：钱钟书和张爱玲被抬到这个地步，是夏志清干的。夏志清
这样干完全是出于意识形态目的，因为他觉得这两个人是对抗中国官方意识形态的，而
其他人都是顺从了的。由于众所周知的“文革”后知识分子对于官方意识形态的态度，
夏志清的这个说法就大行其道了。其实，张还可以说确实有这个意思，钱则并没有这个
意思。不考虑意识形态，单从文学艺术的成就来说，这两个人决没有这样高的地位。当
然，这两个人在有着五千个席位的中国现代文学馆占有一席之地，则完全是合格的。
舒乙的评论完
我听说舒乙在“文革”中与他的母亲一起，对待老舍并不好。如果这个情况属实，则我
对于舒乙人格上有看法。但我认为舒乙对于钱钟书的评论是恰当的。人们所说的钱的小
说的好处，可以给钱舒乙所说的那个地位，但不应该是现在吹的那么高。
舒乙对于张爱玲的看法我倒有异议：张爱玲创造了一种独特的美，而且这种美使得时至

恨的力量，一种是信仰的力量。
即使象我这种看破红尘之人，在他们24小时折磨之下，我心中也会不时泛起恨意。所以
，我是能理解人类的那份绝望，特别是看到你的亲人被无辜地夺取生命，你的家园被毁
，你的同族被屠杀的时候。
所以，如果一个印第安人，因为自己的种族被白人完全地屠杀而走向复仇之路，我完全
可以理解。那么日本人因为被原子弹摧毁，战败而走向复仇之路，这种感情，我也是可
以理解。可以理解，不等于说我会和这种仇恨的力量和解而纵容它，让它危害人类。
多数人的感情，不管爱也好，恨也好，都是和自己命运相连，而不能把自己的遭遇放在

的耻辱。

发帖数: 519 | 45 当时路口右边的车道左转绿灯放行，在这种情况下右转有箭头的话应该是绿的，我右转
是没什么危险的（除了路口右边的车道有车u turn的话他有路权），所以一时大意没
fully stop就右转了，结果被照了相，tickiet 500刀。经过几个月的折腾，终于把
ticket给dismiss了，分享一点心得。另外与车友共勉，开车要小心，红灯右转一定要
停稳了，不管右转是多么安全。尤其在加州，越是能安全右转的红灯越要小心，这些地
方往往都有照相。
1. Trail By Written。外地人的救星，飞过去出庭根本不可能，所以没有TBW估计就只
能认栽付钱了。填一些表，plea not guilty，附上材料，就可以argue自己的case了。
如果不幸输了的话还可以继续appeal或者要求上驾校，损失的只是几十块court fee而
已（如果亲自上庭也要付这个钱的），所以决定试试。
2. 这么小的case不用找律师，律师收费的以千计，不管case难易输赢，钱之好赚只能
感叹自己入错行。网上有不少号称帮你fight这样ticket的服务，其实就是帮你准备TBW

1，刚发现纽约的DMV有如下规定，要求上交外国有效驾照。这个严格吗？难道大家都把
中国驾照交给他了？不交会怎样？

bar问题的人, 题目侧重点都一样
资料通过合法渠道取得的, 一个朋友在PTO上班, 一个primary examiner给他的,不存在
版权问题.

我看的这个, 3个礼拜, 一边上学, 一边干part time patent law clerk, 一边准备

最后过了patent bar, 很容易.
其他PLI, bullseye这个那个都没有这个在点子上.
最后想说的一点就是,我明白人人都想省钱, 但是浪费太多时间走弯路,实际是浪费钱.
而且把这些浪费在看无用outline上的时间*你的billing rate 你已经亏大了.
如果明白这个道理的人, 沟通起来不会很费尽.

another one only contributed around 1/3 of the course. After returning the
graded examines to students, one came to me and complained that he was
treated unfairly because somebody else did something similar but got a
