Many of us are not aware that the petrol kiosk pump has a return pipe-line (
in Pink). When the petrol tank (in the car) reaches full level, there is a
mechanism to trigger off the pump latch and at the same time a return-valve
is opened (at the top of the pump station) to allow excess petrol to flow
back into the pump. But the return petrol has already pass through the meter

vw的那几个valve，基本6-7年就老化了，开没影响， 但是需要过emission test。
原厂件还贵的要死
这车我最近几年，每年就开个2000 mile。。前今天又亮灯了，又是evaporative，还多
了个 oil leak。

来没有冷的感觉。今年四月终于决定去检查一下，找了一个专门修空调的修车铺，人家
说倒是没有漏，给我装了一瓶新氟利昂。就此，车里终于有种冷飕飕的感觉了。前段时
间有两周多没开车，一直在地下车库停着，再开的时候空调就只出热风了。
这次再开到同一家铺子，人家检查了说evaporator（？）坏了还是有个major
leakage，换一个evaporator六百多，人工费600多，加起来一千三，都够买个MacBook
Pro了。
请问修空调都这么坑吗？夏天车里没有空调没法过啊～ |

可能是因為是液體，所以香味比較容易散發出來吧
不會只有脫脂奶粉呀
我們這邊有whole milk的奶粉，有2%的，也有脫脂的，還有butter milk的奶粉
各種各樣，種類繁多。。。
要說濃縮，當然是奶粉更濃縮呀
奶粉是吧水分完全蒸發了，evaporate milk只不過是蒸發了大部分，還剩一點，讓它保
持液態而已呀 |

其实evaporated milk是牛奶挥发掉一半左右的水分，是否能代替方子里的奶粉还要看
具体配方。condensed milk是炼乳吧, 比evaporated milk水分更少而且加了很多糖的

用铜evaporator的时间上了会锈有小洞的话逐渐漏。低了自然
制冷效果会差不少。开始的时候每年补一次就能过一个夏天。
漏厉害了可以几百块换evaporator，铝的话不会锈。
不过如果你们邻居的都是一个builder的model，他们都换了
可能说明用的质量差，也许寿命到了。 |

Coil 冬天用吸尘器清理过。DC 今年暖冬，用的不多，里面还很干静。）

水管冲水的水量和方向, 和自然的大风雨, 不是一个等级的,
找个机会看看那些档板的底部有多少缝隙,
防水设计都是从上到下,不防从下到上, 用水管冲水, 不小心水乱飞,
搞坏机器是迟早的事,
世界上也没有绝对事情, 空调厂商竭尽全力设计安全的机器,
还是不能防止人为的abuse. 不把防止电击放在心上, 被电击是迟早的事,
那短暂的superheat 增加, 是因为水蒸发带走额外的热量,
compressor效率增加, 但是因为高压降低, 冷媒进入evaporator 总量减少,
代价就是cooling capacity 降低, compressor 要工作的更久才能移除同样的热量,
并没有省到任何的能量, 也不能说对compressor更好,
话再说回来, 要计算真实的superheat 变化, 要知道空调的基本参数,
superheat 也不是越高越好, 随便说个增加25-30F,感觉上就是冷媒不够了,
evaporator 被饿死变成 suction line,
cooling capacity 都没有了造成compressor 都在做白工

症状是火焰烧一会自己就灭了。找人来修。检查了一个小时，说锅炉上部分没有问题，
是下面的控制板坏了。换控制板(control board)和人工，总共是350块。
换了之后，火焰不灭了，但是又出了一个新问题。就是把下面装控制板的盖子合上，火
焰又会灭掉，不合就好好的。控制面板和那个吸回流空气的鼓风机是在一起的。修热气
的人跟我说，这说明进去的空气不够，有个高频开关就会自动开启把火弄灭。他现在肯
定是evaporator coil堵了，热气流得慢。
现在他给我两个选择一个清理evaporator coil，他用刷子刷，总共$550(包括前面的
350块换board的钱）,但是不能保证修好，因外刷子不能刷里面。
另外一个选择是换一个新的evapoarator coil，总共是$900(包括前面的350块换board
的钱）
他跟我说，不管是选哪个，他都要干4-5小时，因为要把氟利昂压回去，要切断管子，
取出coil。
我比较倾向于换个新的coil，这样将来空调也不会有问题。现在不想讨论他修得对不对

Evaporator coil也是Trane Model# 4NXCA024AC3HCAA，由于空间限制，evaporator
coil的宽度只能是14.5英寸，比较窄，可能是造成温差不能达到20F的主要原因。当室
外温度85F时，室内设定74F，入风口温度77F（主要由于二楼有个巨大的return，二楼
温度通常比一楼高三到四度左右）coil上方温度大约58F。 |

但是从expansion valve出来的管子摸着不是很凉，我把冷冻室的后面板打开，可以看
到evaporator的下面1/3有霜，应该是在制冷，但是上面2/3没有霜。我查了
freezerthermistor，evaporator thermistor，defrost limiter thermostat，都是好
的,compressor relay和电容应该也是好的，这是什么原因呢？佛里昂不足？对了，
compressor的风扇，和冷冻室里那个evaporater的风扇都是转的，冷冻到冷藏的那个通

。最近发现attic的屋顶靠近furnace vent duct的地方有水，找人来看说是装的时候管
子短了，没有完全升出屋顶，冬天冷的时候就凝水了。这家公司报价把这duct全部换掉

另外再补充一点，感觉到冷气从出气口出来温度不低，但是气流太小，也许这是降温慢
的主要原因？气流为何小的原因就不知道了。

层全是灰，肯定不是一起的。FL冬天空调不工作，那个气味也没了，天热了一开就闻到
了。怎么除掉这个气味？filter换了，通外面的水管blench 流通没问题，所有的出风
口都拆下来洗了，里面拿吸尘器吸了灰再安装回去，阁楼里的管道也是三年新，出风口
看这个管道很干净。外机coil洗了。需要洗evaporate coil 吗？这个拿出来看太复杂
，能不能就喷那个evaporate coil洗涤剂洗一下，这个危险吗？外壳内保温层换好像很
麻烦。电话了一个公司，洗这个$800。有经验的来说说。 |

this type of humidifier does NOT work. Buy a hygrometer and you will know
from the reading. Again, it does not work, meaning it does not improve
the RH in your room. Dont be cheated by the nice mist you saw from it.
Even worse, it is generating water droplets instead of water vapor.
What's the difference? Water vapor should be in molecular phase so it
increases RH directly. Water droplets evaporate firstly and become vapor.

冷凝水的流水管，清理。
Condensening Unit 周围的杂草，收拾干净。
Condensening Unit 里面的树叶，收拾干净。
Defrost Board 上面的树叶，虫子，清理。
制冷剂压力 检查。 （CFC Universal certified）
制冷剂有点少，室内 Evaporator Coil 的 Air return 和 Air supply 倒是有20度的
温差。但是压力和说明书上的比，不够高。（家里用的 Heat Pump 里面的 Evaporator
Coil 冬天用吸尘器清理过。DC 今年暖冬，用的不多，里面还很干静。）
Home Depot 的空调 tune up 服务不到100块，还是值得的。 |
