Like, their external transfers should be faster than ING and Virtual Bank and
they do not eat your interest. I schedule deposit/withdraw on day one, the
other bank get hit on day two. And they put the transaction on day two too,
(ING and Virtual bank will put it on day one). (I put transfer in the morning,
I think every bank will have their cut off time.)

I would like to ask a honest question to these HK people to emigrate: "What
are you going to do for a living after you emigrate?"
I emigrated long time ago because I had a job and the skill was in demand, I
built up my family, friends and lifestyle. Now graduates everywhere,
competition to land a job all over the places, not to mention language &
culture barriers. It's a lot harder to emigrate at the age of 40-50s, than
in 20s.

最近，四川九寨沟、新疆精河县接连发生地震，人员伤亡之外，更造成较大面积房屋毁
损。抢险救灾尚在紧张进行，转瞬之间，“地震来了，房子没了，房贷还要还吗”的话
题却被人迅速抛出，还上了新闻头条，真是让人惊诧莫名。
从发文者署名和一边倒的所谓“专家意见”，不难窥见银行业者于台前幕后扮演的可悲
角色。平心而论，面对地震造成的损失，银行业者出于自身利益考虑，对可能产生的坏
账预作一定准备，有其合理之处。但当此地震甫发，一众同胞惊魂未定、衣食无着之际
，不论何人以何理由抛出如此“房倒仍要还债、人死方能债灭”的冷血结论，都很难不
给人一种银行恶意逼债、黄世仁重出江湖的恶劣观感。

美利坚合众国第二百四十个独立节之日，重温了一下当时美国立国时杰弗逊起草的《独
立宣言》。
每读一次就不得不再次感慨当时立国之父们的英明及远见。他们在北美这块土地上，抛
弃了大不列颠的君王统治，建立起美利坚这样一个伟大的国家。
一切似乎都是上帝赐予的：这块土地上不仅有雄伟壮观的东部阿普拉契山脉及西部的落
基山脉，而且有着从广袤无际的大草原到美丽宽阔的大海洋，这富绕的土地难道不是一
种恩赐吗？是的，不过上帝恩赐给地球的土地也不仅限于美利坚，算算美利坚的土地面
积，即使现在也只位于全球第三或第四，为何美利坚却成了人们向往的地方呢？
作为移民，也许比这儿生长的美国人有更多的比较。一个感悟是当年《独立宣言》的基
石，即人人生而平等（all men are created equal)，天赋给个人的权力等不能受到侵

没错，因为单纯只看出生死亡数字，对于美国这样一个高流动性社会你当然无法推出总
人口数字了。
1933年鉴的历年移民到美国的人口数字
1933年鉴的历年入境离境数字、以及相减后的数字，注意其中immigrant是移民到美国
，emigrant是移民出美国，后面的i over e是移民到美国的减去移民出美国的数字
1940年鉴，阅读方法参照1933年鉴～
显然，大萧条期间美国人口出现了外流情况，结合持续下降的出生率，就可以得出和人
