我原是因为兴趣打算做微观纯理论的，基本上是玩数学。这个方向PhD就算是学术界需
求其实也挺小，所以从前景上来说倒真是祸福难料。事实上确实有高年级的想quit
我觉得PhD是需要强烈的学术追求来支撑的，不然还不如早点工作。而且我现在年纪也
不算小了，不想再浪费宝贵光阴了。对于金融phd稳拿的故事，我很淡定。
西北的自费硕士学费就得5万刀一年，远超过承受能力啊。如果要转码工，以我现在的
编程基础，全副精力突击一两个月内应该能准备得不错。只是我还没下定决心这样干，
因为一旦做了马工就可能很难回头了。
这可能是我的偏见，我觉得与econ有交集的工作要更牢靠些，而这波科技泡沫破裂之后
纯码工可能会受到很大冲击。
听教授说往年econ dropout的人大部分都去consulting了，但我毕竟不是native
speaker，劣势比较大。我个人也偏向做quantitative analyst，大家能否说说我这个
背景是否能被看上呢？是否有立足之地？ |

要求timeout, 不服从，aide强行把他带到timeout的地方，小孩踢了打了aide. aide
有些scratch和mark. 然后aide filed了police report，小孩被开除，要求在家里学
习。
前几天学校叫小孩去学校参加mandatory test, 要求家长在。小孩和妈妈去了，然后
小孩被逮捕，在监狱里自己带了一个晚上，第二天上庭后释放。5月11日再次上法庭。

别人问起来再解释下，是家庭原因和兴趣原因（更喜欢编程,而不是做生物实验。我的
方向是EE里面做医疗仪器、医学成像的，两头都沾）
master入学年份没写，只写了毕业年份
并同时是research assistant
还写了相比其他EE master我修了两倍的课，把所有CS核心课都上过了
综上所述，想说明PhD不是读不下去才quit的
跟其他master相比，也有很多优势，RA，文章，这么多学分的课都证明自己不是一个普
通的master
目前找工作很顺利，没人因为你是dropout为难你，相反比普通master还是有优势的
至于phd dropout我在给startup的简历里明确写了，对于热爱创新的企业这其实是优点
，有些公司还特别注明phd dropout preferred
对于混事的大国企，他们偏爱听话的人，我就没写phd dropout，只写了research
assistant。他们问了再答。

track车架，后面dropout是平行的那种。这车到现在骑了两年，链条被拉长了一些，所
以需要把chain tensioner调紧（是那种在dropout尾端，通过一个螺丝调整后轮轴位置
的）。现在的问题是，换了几种tensioner都没法把链条真正拉直，哪怕拧到尽头；如
果截链条，后轮胎又会挤到车架立管。感觉是车架质量次，那个horizontal dropout太
短的缘故。除了换新链条，可否有其它方法能把后轮轴再往后拉几毫米？

但他铁定没本事把美国high school dropout在美国变成能造iphone的普工。
这也是他在其他国家开厂不如在中国成功的原因。
即使苹果赔钱做生意，在美国开厂造iphone，周边配套设施全按深圳
东莞水平搞好，它的选择也一定是更高自动化程度的生产线，而不是祈祷上帝让
每个月拿1400 payroll的美国high school dropout去住宿舍吃食堂12小时
一个shift上厕所打表像军队一样纪律。低端制造业根本解决不了美国的问题，
美国也没有那么好的经济负担这一大群低端制造业劳动力的社会福利。
某些人穷到只有知识，就强调普工不要知识，所以是个人是个地方都能做，
这种视野狭隘真是没办法。中国人口红利已经过去，接下来全世界都要接受

所以，apple local store里面sales那个多呀。
一间60 平米的店面里面，得有50个 sales，都是小年轻的，
结帐的柜台上，也没人排队。

A：无论从哪个角度来讲，生物应该是属于STEM的。国土安全部认可的STEM的列表里也
有很多生物方面的专业。但是美国前两年出了一个所谓STEM绿卡的法案中把生物排除在
外了。希望这个法案真正实施的时候能够把生物加回来。
Q：在很多技术领域里顶尖的人才很多都是老美啊？
A：是的。美国的现行教育体制不会埋没掉天才。美国的教育体制给天才留有特殊通道
。只要真的是天才，可以获得几乎无限量的支持和培养。问题是美国现在的教育体系无
法培养出足够多的STEM从业人员来满足社会发展的需求，这也是存在大量中印欧移民的
背景。拿个数据比较一下，中国每年毕业150万的理工科大学生，美国每年毕业不到20
万，远远大于中美人口比例。另外一个数据：美国学士学位中只有 19%的学位颁发给了
STEM 专业，而中国该比例则超过 50%。

1) stick something hard into the front triangle to prevent the box from
collapsing there.
2) also space out the fork (and dropouts if you really want to ship it
without rear wheel on). put in old hubs or get two of those plastic dropout/

3) it's safest to unbolt the rear derailleur and zip-tie it to the chainstay

间的落差。 一度低落的时候，认识了现在的bf (应该是fiance) 了。此男孩是个很极
端的人， 非常聪明， 但几乎自闭的内向。 后来从这个名校dropout 后，回国了。
女孩的家人极度反对这个bf。 觉得人长的不好看， 而且性格不好。 威胁女孩说如果
和这个男孩一起就断绝关系云云。 女孩曾经也很担心这个男孩几乎自闭的性格，加上
家人的反对，婚事一直拖着。 一直没有答应男孩生理上的要求。 女孩长在一个很保守
的家庭，从小被教育只能婚后才能有性。 而男孩却以为女孩看不上他，更加自闭。 后
来dropout 了。 这个不是主要原因了， 男孩英语不好， 本来和老师沟通就有问题了。

第一层和第二层之间连接关系 A=[a_ij] 链接 节点i(第一层) 和 节点j (第二层)
第二层和第三层之间连接关系 B=[b_jk] 链接 节点i(第一层) 和 节点j (第二层)
wdong所说有道理， 如果用ReLU节点+max pooling 那么多数情况输入都是正的 ReLU就
是个线性放大器
如果忽略放大倍数，第一层和第三层直接连接关系C=[c_ik] 满足 矩阵C=A*B
这么看来 CNN的法宝 就是 max pooling + dropout
max pooling 相当于分级模板匹配 对物体形变的一种离散化
dropout 相当于聚类
我把 max pooling 的想法用在了另一个应用上 效果不错 |
