companies. E.g. Baylor has 24 ABMG certified genetist working as lab
directors. Quest diagnostic genetic lab also has more than 20 ABMG certified
PhD lab directors.

篇最新考经啊，但是拖延症又犯了，直到今天，有一个很久没有联系的考友向我询问最
新考试是否像传说中的那么恐怖，才激起我马上写完此贴的愿望，希望能对以后考试的
人有些帮助。
个人背景：国内土硕，本科毕业至今正好5年（生生错过了毕业5年内申请match的大好
机会。。。），全职复习，家有toddler小娃送daycare，大部分时候学习时间集中在工
作日的11am-5pm和晚上10pm-11:30pm，双休日的9:30pm-12:00pm.

一．题目难度：
与16为背景，当时我做16的时候，感觉有1个block比较难（假设难度为3），其他3个稍
微好点（假设难度为2）
真实考试第1,2,5,6难度好点（难度值2-2.5不等），3,4,7难度比较大（应该大于3，尤
其第7个）
二．题目长度：

我是从2014年4月份下定决心要考U的，差不多用了一个月的时间查资料了解相关信
息，还有买书。就这样开始踏上备考的漫漫长路～
一、2014年4月－2014年7月（启蒙阶段）
开始阶段是茫然不知所措的，所幸的是当时正好赶上已经成功couple match的
Lingxin师妹和Yangchen师弟回国，他们给了很多宝贵的建议和鼓励，并且知道了百歌
医学bug这个国人自己建立交流互助平台，我并没有去参加bug的课程，但从网站上获得
了很有用的信息，看了大量的考经，备考迷茫时还给bug写过两次email，他们都及时回
复我了，并给了很好的建议。心里充满感激～～当然还有mitbbs医学版，这个网站在国
内时不能上，是来到英国后才知道的，好多前辈无私分享自己的经验和资料，在此表示

进行，每一阶段稍有微调
第零阶段 摸索期 2015.10
按照BUG的路标系统V3.0 开始做First Aid Q&A, 由于此阶段没看任何书，做题基本靠
蒙，花了2周只做了behavior science和biochemistry部分，记得订正生化部分半天只
能看两道题，非常痛苦，后来放弃这种尝试。
心得：如果复习之前没有看过任何考u的书，还是老老实实先看书再做题。
第一阶段 打基础期 2015.10-2016.4
按照BUG推荐的3p+1m 开始看书+做题，第一本书是pathoma，配合视频，非常推荐！！
！ 我是看完一个章节后做Robbins Pathology Review的题库，还找了一个小伙伴一起
读pathoma，这个阶段进行的很慢，基本是在熟悉医学术语，很多单词不认识，都是一
边查字典一边看书，前前后后花了3个月，不过一遍下来很有收获，pathoma很有条理性

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth
Edition (DSM IV) is the manual physicians, psychiatrist, psychologists,
therapists, and social workers use in order to diagnose mental illness.
This manual spells out the specific diagnostic criteria. When diagnosing a
client, the American Psychological Association recommends that the clinician
use a multiaxial Assessment System. As follows:

depression, or unipolar depression. The term unipolar refers to the presence

即使发现outliers也不好轻易改正吧.
毕竟data是真实的, model是假设的.
当然可以换model, 比如改用robust reg
最后的结果, 还未必哪个更有意义呢.
考虑的问题越多, 其实引入的noise就越多,
往往也会把问题不必要的复杂化. 我是觉得
做统计, 能简单的就不要复杂, 能做一步的
就别做两步, 能不用model的就不用model,
返璞归真最好.
如果有人challenge或者不相信你的结果, 那
是另一回事, 你可以摆事实讲道理, 做各种
diagnostics和test说, 看这个model是如何如
何valid. 一旦此人信服, 就结束了. 把diagnostics
给程序化, 我总觉得和统计的基本理念相违背. |
