对那年夏天，确实没有多少悲情感。一是因为当时年纪小，只有13岁，但更主要的是因
为我对一切“群众运动”有天然的隔阂感。总觉得那年夏天的学生和66年夏天的学生是
同一批人，不过是赶上的“班车”不同而已。

但仍需纪念。因为那个数字已经成了一个符号，和自由、热忱、理想主义等人之为人的
品质联系在一起。今天的中国，离自由、热忱、理想主义比20年前更遥远。重温那个数
字，就等于一个民族重访那个可能的自己。

气不足的。
偶和美忠一样，都是二字班的。只是美忠毕业后留在大陆教书，偶毕业后来美国读书。
毕业后回大陆上班了。和美忠并不认识。只是N年前（N～=10）在美国的时候也是在这
个bbs看到过美忠的几篇文章。包括北大历史系教授点评。包括关于大陆教育的几篇感
想。看了以后，唯一的感觉就是guilty。真正爱大陆，关心大陆的人，应该象美忠这样
耐于寂寞扎根大陆基层，潜移默化的去做一些事情的。而我们选择了另一条路，如果不
说是逃避的话。
美忠的错不在于跑跑，而是在于写的那篇文章。就象在美国的大陆人，不写在美国做的猥琐事和有伤陆格的事，谁人又知道？实际上偶个人觉得丫写文章的出发点是赌气。想气气大陆的道德伪君子。就象丫开头的话：偶后悔偶没生在blahblah美国。这句话就是赌气加反语。实际上丫对大陆的贡献和比在美国的大陆人大得多。偶也敢说，丫比在美国的大陆人更爱（devoted）大陆。爱之深深，恨之切切。
事实上，在美国的大陆人，绝大部分灵魂是扭曲的，人格是分裂的。

包括对康有为，虽然我不喜欢他的私德，也不喜欢他处理政治问题的方式和能力；
但是私德不是判断一个政治人物的主要因素。康有为肯定不是一个合格的政治家，
但还是应该肯定他是一个时代的先行者，是一个努力跟上时代潮流的思想家，也
是一个爱国者。
当时代之先，写出《日本变政考》，《波兰分灭记》；警醒国人不变革即亡国灭
种，他尽到了自己作为思想家的责任。至于政治操作，他的学生梁启超总结过自
己老师的缺点，说康有为过于主观，到了罔顾客观事实的地步。这样一种个性，
必然不可能成为一个成熟的政治家。而他以一个思想家突然得君行道，去实践他
无法完成的任务；是光绪和他的错误，也是时代的错误。他犯的错误，后世的
中国人还不断在犯。
对康有为的评价，还是以英国海军上将，当时在香港而有机会和康有为长谈的
Lord Charles Beresford的原文评价结尾——我觉得还是相当公允：
