今天收到NIGMS director 的公开信，里面明白着说单个实验室不应该拿到超过三个R01
（除非是clinical research), 并明白指出这个动向的原因是：
1。在钱的总数有限的情况下，一个实验室拿到多的钱就会导致另外一个实验室拿到的
钱变少。
2。大实验室对博士后和研究生培养不利，因为导师的注意力被分散了。
3。从统计上来看，大实验室的成果并不和资金成正比

Wrong. If there is ever a conflict between US and China, Taiwan will
inevitably lean toward US instead of maintaining neutrality. In fact, even
by maintaining neutrality it would be assisting US, because China would
still have to devote resource to guard against this front, when China
already need every bit of resource to deal with US. As long as the
government in TW doesn't want to merge under ML government, they would do
whatever they can to ensure US wins the conflict. |

Pennsylvania, announced Sunday he intends to marry a 40-year-old man.
In an article for the New York Times, Wofford said he will marry Matthew
Charlton on April 30. The union comes about 20 years after the death of
Wofford's wife, Clare, in 1996. The couple were married for 48 years.
In the Times article, Wofford said he met Charlton about 15 years ago and
their friendship gradually grew more intimate.

飞机单程就要2个多小时，还没算上往返机场的时间。我所在的学校和城市都比我lg的
略好些，所以lg只要有假期，都会飞到我所在城市与我团聚。这几年我一直努力想让lg
move到我学校，系主任也说会留意帮忙，但一直没进展。今年年初我拿了一个大grant
，也发了一些不错的文章。在一个学术seminar上碰到另一个学校的前辈，说被我的履
历impressed到了，让我去申请他们学校。一开始没报太大希望，因为其他candidate也
很优秀。没想到最后他们还是extend offer给我了。这个学校各方面都比我现在所在学
校好，如果没有two-body problem，我肯定毫不犹豫跳了。系主任得知我的offer后，
非常积极帮忙解决two-body problem，最后多方帮助下，lg拿到了我学校的offer，我
也turn down了手头的offer.
本以为结束异地，美好的新生活要开始了。没想到的是，多年的异地生活不知不觉地改
变了对方，日常生活中反而比以前更加容易吵架拌嘴，比如开车，选餐厅吃饭都能搞得
