without any problem at all before I went to a dentist for cleaning. The
dentist told me I had caveaty on the upper right and did two fillings for me
. After that I wasn't able to chew on my right side any more. Eventually,
they refunded the portion I paid.
I went to another doctor to redo the filling but didn't fix the problem, so
now I switch to my left side to chew food. :-(

and only see referred patient in their office. Most of patients will see
their primary care doctor first, then referred to see a subspecialist once
needed.
However, as a good internist, you should know most of indications for

So far most controlled studies show amalgam is generally safe. But
materials like composite resins or ionomer are getting better, almost
catching up with amalgam in strength.
You could probably get whichever you want. Just be aware of possible price
changes.
BTW the crown is a separate issue. There are metal, porcelain-fused-metal
and non-metal ones. Noble metals like gold, platinum are often used, but

势估计得一周时间才能基本康复。
说说干嘛对自己这么凶残地一次拔掉4颗智齿。公司每年年底都可以为来年更新一下保
险，去年11月份我买了公司提供的最贵的一款牙科保险，因为知道今年我会有很多牙科
治疗。2月份约了同事推荐的general dentist，就是我的主治牙医也可以说是家庭牙医
，反正以后牙齿有啥问题先就去找他，然后他不能治疗的再推荐到其他专科牙医那儿去
。看过我的general dentist后，需要补牙，做根管，我跟医生说我准备戴牙套，医生
也觉得我这牙齿可以戴戴矫正一下，但在矫正之前得把牙齿现有问题治疗好。主治牙医
不太确定需不需要拔智齿，把我推荐到矫正牙科医生那儿，在矫正牙医那儿做了3D的CT
，说智齿得拔，我下面2颗是横着长的，这样会影响以后戴牙套的结果，如果下面2颗拔
了为了咬合对称，上面也得拔，所以最后就决定4颗都得拔。
我的主治牙医是不给我拔智齿的，把我推荐到专门做牙科手术的牙医那儿(Oral
Surgeon）,3月份先预约到手术医生那儿做了一个咨询，他看了我的X片后说建议一次性

大牙掉了一块，看起来挺大一个黑洞，但是不疼，凉水有点刺激的感觉。
ob和dentist都说可以打麻药，dentist那里用的是mepivacaine w/o epinephrine。ob
说没问题，但是我还是很担心，想先忍着，实在忍不住再上这个麻药。
请问大家这个麻药安全吗？我看fda对mepivacaine是划在了category c的，好像挺危险啊
另外，如果我忍着不用麻药，疼痛会不会导致宫缩一类的？？ |

didnt know how to take advantage of it). But then there was promotion from
the invislign company, so I didnt pay anything. I had total 25 sets and
change one set per 2.5 week. It worked well.
Now my dentist think all my teeth look good except one still need to be

For dentist, what they give you is an estimate, it can be more of less of
what you really needs to pay, either way is common.
If you want accurate "estimate", then you need to request a "pre-
determination" from them. "Pre-determination", is the dentist office will
submit all the procedures to insurance company first, then insurance company
write back with your portion. This amount is an accurate "estimate", you

，但是不用跑来跑去。
怀孕前4个月，另外两颗又开始不安分。跑到dentist那里，人问我想不想拔，我说想
，但是准备怀孕，dentist说只要没怀孕，没关系，要是怀孕了可以在第二个trimester
拔，前提是孕期健康一切正常。然后就把我refer到oral surgeon那，到了oral
surgeon那里，人说，要保险cover 就要找我的primary physician 要保险的referral
，于是又跑到 primary physician那拿保险referral。最后拍了个全牙的片，在预约拔

pediatric dentist 给用了两回 sedation (就是保险不cover的那种大杯的麻药, 喝了
小孩就睡了那种, 一杯大概 350刀+), 补了 10+ 个洞, 还安了一个钢crown.
但没多久就掉了好几个 filling, 回去再重新补又是喝 sedation , 结果装上又掉. 这
次回去找他时候忍不住朝医生怒了, 但医生的借口是小孩不老实, 虽然有用了
sedation.
这次我们拒绝再给小孩喝 sedation .
结果 pediatric dentist 这次又鼓动我们去医院的 operating room 作全麻, 是他熟
悉的医生. 从最一开始就推荐我们去医院的 operating room 作全麻. 但我们怕不安全
一直犹豫. 而且听说不便宜(究竟多贵还不确定). 但看孩子每次看牙遭罪, 打算去一次
搞定了它.
求助版上有经验的爸爸妈妈, 有给孩子上 hospital operating room 做过全麻补牙的
么? 安全么? 大概费用要多少.

孩子也要一天刷至少两次，睡觉前一定要刷，而且不能边喝奶阿，

intubation. Child has not any memory about the dental procedures. All dental
treatment can be done one time, especially for child who have dental
problems in many teeth. It is safe in hospital. The dentist should request
medical clearance from your child's pediatrician. The Medical Insurance
should cover the cost in hospital.
Another anesthesia is IV sedation, which can be done in dental clinic by
