WASHINGTON – A Republican civil war is raging, with righter-than-thou
conservatives dominating ever more primaries in a fight for the party's soul
. And the Democrats hope to benefit.
The latest examples of conservative insurgents' clout came Tuesday at

The change to the Democratic Party platform would be a significant
advancement for marriage equality advocates.
In 2008, the platform stated that the party "oppose[d] the Defense of

In 2004, the platform opposed the Federal Marriage Amendment backed by then-

Sarah Palin is more qualified than Barack Obama ... and Democrats know it!
Barack Obama has never governed or run a business. Nor has he ever ushered
forward any major legislative accomplishments. He is a socialist community
organizer who has zero understanding of economics, by definition. His career
has been propped up step after step by the corrupt Chicago political
establishment because of his glamor and his little boy ability to make women

important - can't happen. Vote "no", and start working on real fixes.

We are in bad situation now. Washington is in gridlock, more than ever in
history of United State. Such polarization will make the country
ungovernable. Simple majority should be enough to pass a bill. I am not a
democrat and I am not in service of Obama. I disagree many of his idea and
will continue to have such disagreement. I care most of the benefit of Asian
American and nondiscrimination against us like Chinese exclusion Act passed
in late 19s.

Hardball means simple majority. Do NOT include any idea from Repubic in any bill. Just pass it as is. If republics are against anything, no bipartisan committee to negotiate before the draft of a bill. Democrats just draft it and pass it as simple as that if there is no cooperation from Republics.

I do not want that either. But what is the alternative? If there is no
cooperation, this will happen. Democrats will not allow blocking of every
bill by Republics. They will ram through all bills in the end. They can and
they will. You can forget about all the noise and up and down of those
political sensations. In the end, who will laugh all the way to the bank. It
is not republics. You should understand who is powerless right now. It is
republic that is powerless. Do not mock persons in charge

because they think they have plenty of time to play this game. When midterm

How Obama Haters May Help Democrats in Midterm Elections

The late, longtime New Yorker critic Pauline Kael was said to have expressed
confusion over Richard Nixon's landslide re-election in 1972 - because no
