立法會主席曾鈺成接受《南華早報》訪問時表示，北京履行「一國兩制」的方式急需檢
討，警告北京若更頻繁地干預香港事務，一國兩制將蕩然無存。
「若香港情況一路惡化，而中央政府進一步干預香港內部事務，即北京直接管治香港，
可謂是一國兩制的覆亡。」（“If Hong Kong is on the decline and the central
government steps in on Hong Kong’s internal affairs more frequently,
resulting in Beijing governing Hong Kong directly, it could spell the demise
