问了MD和VA的10家dealership,最后在MD谈到差不多sale price 8%off MSRP（信用记录
不够，用的自己的financing,没有用volvo的），这个价格是最后general manager亲自
出来谈的，估计已经到底线了。很长一段时间他咬住$59k OTD不松口。

看你的箱子不小，如果重量重的话再多胶带也没用。你应该换用double wall的箱子。
胶带用普通的十字打包就好了。
ups等网站上有专业的关于packing的instruction，什么时候用什么样的箱子，用什么
样的inside pad/cushion，什么胶带/strap等等，可以去看看。 |

buyer开了return request的第一个email说是defective，然后我问了几个简单的问题
，没回，2星期以后才回说还是要return。寄回来一看，没有manual和original
packaging（cushion），用的自己的bubble wrap寄过来的，original outbox有的，但
是裸寄过来的，还设置了密码，折腾了好几天才搞定restore.
寄到以后我就问他要密码，还有original packaging和manual，他就开了az，已经去
staples弄个tune up report，到时候represent给amazon
如果是defective，可以扣多少restocking fee? 如果不是defective呢？

box was packed, so if you see fedex driver around fedex office, just hand
the packages to driver directly to avoid the hassle and bullshit. |

来越大。看今年NIH 的paylines 就知道了，NCI只有7%了，据说明年只会更差，DOD也
好不到哪里去。所以cover自己80%的工资几乎是mission impossible。偶今年走运，刚
拿了个新的R01,加上目前的一个，别人支持的一个，还能够再支撑几年。但是看看系里
其它的PhD faculty，有些人今年就得走人了，明年可能走得更多，心里也不是滋味。
前些日子和系主任谈特牛的事，得知即使是特牛了，还是得自己支持80%的工资。如果
有一天彻底没有房顶了，系里会再支持几年，几年以后就只有50%不到的工资了（州里
的），所以最后还是不得不离开，虽然比research track的faculty cushion大一些。
偶问系主任医学院里“特牛”的意义在哪里。答，偶们这类顶级医学院的特牛教授本来
就应该是各个学术领域的“大牛”，“大牛”怎么会没有房顶呢？偶无语了。
