就注册去上课了，发现价格已经改了，是$19，
不过用promotion code (X2B-C8B-A94) 依然可以减少$2。
现在已经不能只是开着电脑耗时间了，我试着开机，但出去了3-4个小时，回来就要求
重新log in了。而且也不能直接参加final exam，必须答对各章的所有试题才能到达
final exam，而且各章的题目之后还有一题“security question”，就是问关于前面
学习材料中的图片、录像中的内容，所以还不得不点击看看，总共也需要不少时间。不
过有个节约时间的方法，就是先到问题的一页，看完问题再点击“previous”回到前一
页寻找答案，利用IE的“编辑”菜单下“查找（在当前页）”的功能可以快速定位。如
果中途log off再回来log in，得一页页翻过之前做过的章节，不过不需要重新做题就
是。到达上次退出地方，就自动加载之前这一章的内容。

研究后，现在目标已经缩小到
qiongzhuea tumidissinoda - chinese walking stick, 筇竹，原产云贵川，高度在15
'，都挺好，据说笋最好吃，唯一的缺点就是vigor runner。
phyllostachys stimulosa， 漫竹，原产浙江，高度18, running, 笋味道也特佳
fargesia robusta, 拐棍竹，产自卧龙，clumping, 不知道笋是否好吃，高度12
若选 running 的话，准备做barrier。应该没有大家想象中那么恐怖吧？

在我看，两者区别不大，主要还是怎么控制它们生长。（大概金竹更近于clumping，翠
竹更近于running。）
我是把它们种在不碍事的地方，每次用mower控制它们可长的范围，目前还可以，是6米
长，2米宽的地域。 |

今天请了个arborist来看，说是不能完全根治。所以我们想要不就砍了吧。
现在这个arborist给的计划书是这样子的：
Remove to near ground level (2) clump form diseased cherry trees. $240
Grind out the stumps from both trees thoroughly enough below grade to allow
for replanting in a similar location. Haul away the excess stump grindings
level to the surrounding grade. $185.
记得以前在版上看到过说砍树一定要把根清干净，否则会招来白蚁。可是这个计划书里
是不是说只保证把大树桩移走，并不保证把所有根都清理干净啊？

True it's ugly after side discharging, but mulching is worse, and I have to
rake in the clumps of clippings. |

这草是粗（coarse）了一点，但耐踩。要是家里有小孩或者宠物爱在草坪上玩的话，恐
怕这是少数能活下来的草种。
它的问题除了coarse外，就是形态总是一撮撮的。Clumps之间可能露缝儿出来，所以得
不停的overseeding或者混种其它Creeping的草。混种的情况下，没有杀草剂能把它
single out出来，所以，你杀死它后，其它周围的草也八成得死。
你要是用的是Scotts'或者Pennington这种全国都卖的货的话，里面是可以混tall
fescue的，仔细看label。避免的办法是，到本地lawncare点买精选的本地草种。
在东北这边，基本不缺水，只要剪得勤，tall fescue混在里面不显。但是，缺水的话
，它周围一圈其它草可抢不过它，就会枯死，最后更显得他鹤立鸡群，那么这种情况，
你就只能拔了。 |
