Mutual fund manager cannot do that. They will be fired if fail to S&P too

use 90% to buy SPY or S&P index fund.
1. buy when exponetial moving average (13) is closer to the top of moving
average envelop (SMA, 20, 6) than the bottom of the channel on a 10 year
monthly scale.
2. sell on the reverse ( when the exponential moving average is closer to
the bottom of the moving average evelop than the top of the channel).

Substantial Presence Test for 2008 tax year. Pub 519 asks a question:"Can
you show that for 2008 you have a tax home in a foreign country and have a
closer connection to that country than to the United States?" If no,
resident alien, otherwise, nonresident alien.
Certainly, my parents have a closer connection to China. but can they still
be treated as resident alien?

My understanding is: Even if I can show that I have a tax home in China and
have a closer connection to China than to the United States, but I choose
not to, I can STILL file as resident alien. IRS does not say I MUST show. |

你能回答No么？回答No的意思就是"You cannot show that you have closer
connection to China"。这难道不是假话么？虽然你不是obliged to show，但是你说
你cannot show当然不行了。

就是说默认你只要满足183天就是residnet，除非你file 8840来claim你是non-
resident。IRS要你自己填表举证，你不举证默认你就是closer connection to US.
BTW,你说"被reject的例子越来越多"，请提供几个例子。

以真正符合。
翻看以前的旧帖子，没提到这一条之前还有不少人选择报探亲父母为家属。好像是一
两年之内的一个帖子提到了，IRS的人根据closer connection拒绝了某人报探亲老人为
家属。那就说明IRS现在也有了明白人，堵上了这个小漏洞。
当然，如果自己坚持报探亲老人为家属，别人也管不到你。只是大庭广众的，我们最好
只说正确的话。 |

1）一次来不能超过180天不等于多次来加起来不能超过183天。2）不能超过180天也不
等于你实际上不超过。
对。但是如果少于183天的话，也可以用closer connection to a foreign country来
算为nonresident。关于closer connection to a foreign country是可选的还是如果

publication 519. 519上的例子跟我妈的情况是一样的:

chipmunk说的是more social.
Cheaper和高山滑雪比起来, 简直没花钱

move to Great Neck in Long Island instead. It is closer to Flushing and has
much better school than anywhere in NJ.
As far as commute to the city is concerned, we had 2 criterias:
1) No bus, only by train. (it ruled out Ft Lee, Tenafly and etc)
2) Train ride needs to be less than 30 mins.
We also need a good school district.
