我说的就是那种花一年时间上课，然后考执照的clinical license。
貌似有些学校可以免费上课，但有一年时间，最后通过考试拿到执照。
这样有执照后是不是可以申请很多clinical laboratory scientist得职位？
不知道这些工作待遇如何？

clinical lab has three major boards in USA.

MS in Medical Statistics 是在 Department of Biostatistics
MS in Clinical Research Coordinator 是在School of Nurse
Clinical Research Coordinator只有周五有课，感觉比较简单，合适part-time。
Medical Statistics 要求比较高，要先修本科的课。
当然最重要的是，那个更好找到工作。
已经错误读完不错学校生物PhD，4年Postdoc，走不下去，人生最黑暗的时候，这一步
实在不能在错了！

中徘徊了很久，发现自己想读MD，其实是希望将来能像那些学校里的MD/phd一样做
clinical research.
既然这样，想请教各位，有没有什么clinical research不需要MD， 有ph.d就可以做的
呢？
我自己的情况：phd in molecular pharmacology 学校排名一般
优点：自认为还是比较合格的phd, 不是混出来的(不要打我～) 所以优点也
无非是任何合格的phd都有的，认真，比较能吃苦，逻辑分析能力比较强 等等 另外我
们系让我们和medical students一起上了不少课，所以在背景知识上了解的还比较多，
不懂的偶也可以想办法学。
缺陷：没有任何临床背景。另外统计修的也不多，已经认识到了，目前继续学
习中。
老刀前辈曾经提到过，
“医学实验室技术员，分子生物和遗传学技师、甚至医院微生物实验室、遗传生物实验
室DIRECTOR就是生物PHD毕业的！--虽然他们必须在MD领导下工作和签发报告。“ |

发帖数: 4 | 33 我去年跟个oncologist作observe的时候正巧他也做很多clinical trials, 所以了解一
点。一般来说要做clinical research，领头人都是有MD学位的，但是手底下干活的人
study coordinator就是什么都有了，我知道有NP,FMG，fresh college graduate 等等
。我想不管你是个合格还是不合格的博士(我相信你是个合格的博士：))，经过了那个
training,你想干临床研究都是很qualify的。关键就是先进门，进了门以后再发展就看
你的本事了.
我建议你去联系一个比较牛的MD， 这种MD一般又看病人又做很大的临床研究，所以很
忙，需要得力助手。可以先从study coordinator 作起，工资虽然只有4万出头，但是
你可以通过这个获得宝贵经验，同时会与临床医生有很好的互动，然后你可以慢慢的独
立承担一些小的课题，职位待遇便会越来越好。自己也是念了博士做过基础实验的，比
较起来还是喜欢临床研究，一是一，二是二，水分少多了，更有意思更有成就感些。
申请医学院读MD也可以，前途会更好，只是过程漫长艰辛了些。我的一个朋友 |

as a respiratory therapist in a USA big hospital. But one doctor told me
that the position is only technican and it wounld not affect a lot. He
suggest to delet this experience. I do not understand. After all, this
training is Clinical training in USA. It should have some benefits. Should I
delete it or keep it in my PS? Thanks. |

发帖数: 441 | 37 Entry Level的job是Clinical Research Coordinator,比较好找年薪3W+，做得事情相
当于medical assistant+secretary.生物本科毕业就可以，医学背景是Plus，很多外国
医生在clear board之前在做这个，医学背景可以更好的观察记录adverse events.这个工作和病人打交道很多，比较有意思。
高一点的是Clinical Research Associate,1/2的时间在travel,剩下的时间在实验点检查实验数据完整性，年薪5W-10W，工作很无聊，整天对着binder看。
再高就是project manager,年薪10W-20W。 |

天就去了。今天面试我的人并不负责临床相关的事宜，事先也不知道我是想申请和临床
相关的工作，知道我有medical background 后一个劲道歉，我都不好意思了。其实是
我的不是，在education 一栏中，要求填最高教育，我填了个Ph.D，其实Ph.D不相关，
应该填medical school，这样他们能知道个大概。我告诉了她我的目的，因为有过先例
， 所以她一下子就知道了，说可以安排我shadow physician，做类似medical
assistant的工作。我们交谈了大约15分钟，整个过程很愉快。
提醒一下，如果有interview，在交谈中不要忘记提及很想帮助这些群体，否则会给他
们只是找clinical experience 的印象，所以我特别提了一下在free clinic 工作的意
义。因为也是发自内心，所以说起来不困难。 |
