Many of the ABC and ABK I know, the ABKs in general show great desiring
moving back to korea but none of the ABCs show any interest about China.
Hardly hear any ABK talking or even know any downside of korean culture, but
as an opposite, the ABCs talking about tons of downside of China and chinese
, though most of the topics are cliche, human right, democracy, etc.
And I think it mostly because their parents despise china. |

难得本地上映中国片，必须捧场。周日上午有别的事，下午《长城》开场前十分钟才赶
到电影院。去年看《Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them》时因为满场而没买到
现场票，所以这次有点担心地问卖票的有没有四张票。卖票的干脆地说：Plenty！进场
但见全场空空荡荡。凝神再看，数出六七个人头。我们入座后，陆续又进来三四拨人。
全场一共19人，其中有两拨华裔（除了我们，还有另一对年轻人），其他都是老外。
这是第一周首映，又是President’s Day weekend，上座率有点惨啊。
看完后全家倒是从车里一路热烈讨论到饭店，害得老四川服务员催我们点菜好几次。一
个讨论热点是：Matt Damon最后扔出去的那块黑东西是磁铁还是炸药？扔磁铁应该没用

好几年以前在一个书摊儿上花一刀买了本儿书＂opium war＂，是一哪个大学的教授写
的。当时主要是为了练习英文，可是看完了却让我很震动，比我在国内所了解的要深入
很多。后来搬家就再也找不着了。今天大概写一下和大家共享。
中国和欧洲的贸易大约开始于１６世纪中叶。欧洲从中国进口大量丝绸，瓷器和茶叶。
但是中国对欧洲的贸易进口却很低。贸易顺差迅速加大。而且中国（清政府）只认银子
做为交易货币。不象今天的后清，手里攥了一大把绿纸。
一来二往，欧洲就受不了了，没银子了。１７世纪中叶，欧洲交易给中国２。８万吨银
子换中国货。英国当时是金本位，所以就更惨一点儿，丫要和中国贸易就必须向其它国
家买银子，你丫的金子我们就不要，嘿嘿，牛大了。怪不得阿扁老刑这么向往帝制。
欧洲人一开始也想过正经八本儿地把贸易平衡过来，比如英国还结结扒扒的弄一些衣裳

that's why I like rockclimbing.
Well, to begin with, it's good to know what I can't do. It's not like I don
't know my limit but to see somebody who can do it right in front of your
eyes is another thing. Reality bites, what a cliche, but it's so true.
Doing research is the same. I see people publish in top journals and people
come up with all kinds of ideas but I can't. What a torture. I can climb

正是彼此彼此。俺对音乐也没有高深研究，只是信奉那一条cliché而已：

更是如此。对古典音乐、民间音乐，因为追“饭”多年，还有几分道道而言；
“饭”Blues其实只是近几年的事，初次听说John Lee Hooker的大名大概只
在三四个月前，只是一听而顿时不可自拔。
说来奇怪，俺来美多年，Rock and Roll、Country等等，甚至Hip-hop，
都曾“饭”过，唯独一向对Jazz／Blues敬而远之。直到几年前某次在俺家老

其实说美国东西便宜的都是比较低层的老百姓，说美国东西贵的都是稍微有点钱的人。
以上不代表俺个人观点，仅是mock其实说国内东西便宜的人都是
道理很简单，在美国啥东西都到中国店买，住老中的家庭旅馆，从不用人工服务特别不
用非老中老莫人力，买啥都到walmart，其它不打折绝不买，这样美国确实很便宜。
把消费购物当享受的，买东西只买喜欢的，需要就买不会非要找deal，经常光顾老美特
色店，住老美连锁酒店，雇家庭医生家庭律师，请老美家庭教师专职保姆，请专业公司
做清洁整理院子，这些每样都要每月上千。
俺国内的嫂子总说她在北美的亲戚怎么怎么说东西便宜要她来生孩子，说啥洛杉矶的华
人月子所一天只要20刀全包，嘴上没说啥但俺就想她家亲戚都在这里干嘛的啊，一个孕
妇一天20刀的地方能住吗？就算出门旅游偶都不会住到华人家庭旅店去，上次去那边70... 阅读全帖 |

了一看，会场上熙熙攘攘，人头攒动，非常热闹。
上讲台给Talk的是三种人。一是中国来的VC，像邓峰，杨磊这些以前从硅谷回去的。二
是国内来的开发区政府代表们。主要是长三角的。三是那二十个被选上的公司推销自己
的创意。
给我总的感觉是硅谷华人的高科技公司，特别是初创公司，并不适合去国内发展。硅谷
的华人，如果想自己创立Startup，与其费老大的力气回中国搞钱搞市场，还不如扎根
本地在硅谷和美国发展。
首先，邓峰的讲话基本上就是说国内现在需要的是适合中国的商业模式和产业。他居的
例子里有连锁旅馆，餐馆，电影院，绿色太阳能，网上类似Groupon的一些消费者网站
等等。没有一个是有真正High Tech技术含量的公司。作为一个有很强的做技术产品的
背景的人，邓峰的讲话下意识地表明其实国内不适合做High Tech的初创公司。
然后杨镭的发言，说到底，就是如果你是我们圈子里的人，我们就投钱。否则很难。这
话倒是没错。美国的VC也一样。可是身在美国的硅工，要费多大的周章才能成为国内VC

Fincher用了一个工整得类似双引号的形式探讨了Zuckerberg究竟是不是A-hole的问题
。开头的女友说他是，结尾的见习律师说他不是。中间穿插两件诉讼加以论证他究竟是

我就开始觉得有问题, (关键是通过WestUnion没有汇成功, 否则更是损失惨重)
刚刚看到她fb page才发现她email被hack了, 现在人在西雅图.
不知道怎样把钱追回来呢? 去WestUnion取钱不是需要ID认证的吗?
