the March 27, 2020 REMOTE hearing. I was calling the (844) 337-6301 to

there is an accident, the claimant would be the rental company (insurer
pays to rental company, not you), so from the insurance company's
perspective, the driver is not the insured/claimant. So the accident will
not be counted in insurance rates and the driver will not be charged with
higher premium just for that rental-car accident.

了个包。开车的是据说是个高中生，下车我看他iphone屏幕都碎了，貌似是在text and
drive。警察处理时，对方母亲打过来想私了，我心里没底，就坚持走保险，这样对双
方都公平。犹豫当时比较忙，我在找工作和准备毕业中，网上查了一下claimant
expert口碑貌似还行，考虑讲中文沟通方便和抱着委托出去自己省心的态度，就把车祸
索赔工作交给了Alex。
事后发现这是一个正确的选择，因为在我尝试跟对方保险公司USAA联系时，发现他们极
其无赖，在讨论人身伤害赔偿的阶段基本是不接电话，电话接进去也要等很久。到后来
，基本是对方保险公司想理我就找我，我想找他们基本没门的那种。最开始给的offer
也是非常低。保险公司嘛，人家专门干这个的，对于如何降低自己的损失总是非常专业
的，我没时间，也不想跟他们耗着，就委托给了claimant expert。过不其然，这件案
子USAA前后给我拖了将近1年，最开始他们不肯在医疗账单之外赔款，拉锯一段时间后
只肯赔1500 块。

10,000，而两辆被撞车的property damage加起来有$14,635，其中我的property
damage是$4,671，根据肇事车保险公司的pro rata distribution计算，我能拿到$10,
000的31.9％共$3,191，还有接近$1,500的差额，由于我没有买uninsured property
damage保险，这个差额从我的保险公司也拿不到。我的想法是等从肇事车保险公司拿到
$3,191的赔偿后，再去小额法庭告肇事车司机索取1,500的差额。

曾经在另外两个版灌水，见证了版面从中兴到末路的过程。一直觉得很遗憾，真心不希
望这个版重蹈覆辙。一个公共论坛，就是一个生态系统，本来就可能有多重均衡。最稳
定的那个均衡，其实是最糟糕的那个均衡 -- 从来没有人去的版，或者只有机器人发帖
的版。最好的那个均衡，则需要大家都多一点理性和素养。发考题版，应该是具备这样
的可能的。
做版主是不容易的，做这个版的版主自然更不容易，做这个版这个时期的版主非常不容
易。我过去半年时常来看看，偶尔灌个水。我们在具体的科研问题上可能有不同的看法
，但是我觉得你作为一个版主，除了认真负责以外，还是相当的成熟开明、有理有力有
节的。

昨天朋友圈在讨论，为什么 Sandy Grossman and John Moore 没有分享这个殊荣？
一种看法是，他们各自在其他领域也有重要贡献，得奖只是时间问题。
另一种看法是，他们永远不会得奖了，因为Grossman离开了学术界，而 Moore 不在宇
宙中心。

量有多大了。我早前就说过，做BBS的版主，完全是个吃力不讨好的事儿。你作为管理
者，确实不负众望，兢兢业业，要给你点个大大的赞。
然后，请容许我这个半新人从使用者的角度说几句想法。
第一，有些事情的界定可能不是特别容易的。比如这次标题上有广告，但是其实大家都
觉得不是真的广告，很想参与讨论。再比如那个两岁半孩子挑食的帖子，你认为应该发
到我爱宝宝版。但是那个楼里的回复有很多tips或者一般原则也完全适用于三岁以上的
孩子。当然我充分理解你的难处，要每天把版上几十上百个帖子一一仔细看下来，是非
常不容易的。以前我常潜水网球版，那个版上争论谁是史上第一经常擦枪走火。一个老
版主就说，我做版主就是机器人跑程序，不管三七二十一的，也管不了前因后果的，你
们谁触犯了版规，就是删贴子封人的。我个人觉得这就是一个合格的版主，但是出于人

犹豫当时比较忙，我在找工作和准备毕业中，网上查了一下claimant expert口碑貌似

事后发现这是一个正确的选择，因为在我尝试跟对方保险公司USAA联系时，发现他们极
其无赖，在讨论人身伤害赔偿的阶段基本是不接电话，电话接进去也要等很久。到后来
，基本是对方保险公司想理我就找我，我想找他们基本没门的那种。最开始给的offer
也是非常低。保险公司嘛，人家专门干这个的，对于如何降低自己的损失总是非常专业
的，我没时间，也不想跟他们耗着，就委托给了claim expert。过不其然，这件案子
USAA前后给我拖了将近1年，最开始他们不肯在医疗账单之外赔款，拉锯一段时间后只
