Calvinists can, of course, find many scriptures describing man's evil heart
and practices. None of these scriptures, however, states that a man cannot b
elieve the gospel unless he is one of the elect and has been given that fait
h by a sovereign act of God.
Pink declares that "the sinner, of himself, cannot repent and believe." 20 F
or all of their insistence upon man's inability to believe the gospel and to
receive Christ, however, Calvinists cannot agree among themselves. J.I. Pa...

chapter 4.2 The Reckoning Of Faith
The first four-and-a-half chapters of Romans speak of faith and faith and
faith. We are justified by faith in Him (Rom. 3:28; 5:1). Righteousness, the
forgiveness of our sins, and peace with God are all ours by faith, and
without faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ none can possess them.
But in the second section of Romans we do not find the same repeated mention
of faith, and it might at first appear that the emphasis is therefore

Let us seek to make this practical. We touched earlier on the matter of our

Recognizing a number of such phases in the life and experience of a believer

Is There A Bias At Work?
If God intends that all mankind seek Him, and if He must be sought before He

Does the New Testament define Christianity?
The Gospels lack any explicit treatment of the word Christian. Indeed, the
word appears only three times in the New Testament, and never from the mouth
of Christ himself. The word Christianity is entirely absent from the New
Testament.
Acts 11:26 tells us that “the disciples were called Christians first in
Antioch.” Here, the passive construction “were called Christians”
suggests that the term was first used not by Christians, but by non-
Christians. (...

When You're Dead, Are You Dead?
Another major argument the Calvinist uses for Total Depravity is that by nat

(10:29-37) (jonahome.net)

fear to have been, that they thought that it was an apparition, (
Matthew 14:26;
And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled,
saying, It is a ghost; and they cried out for fear.

3.4 How much evidence is enough?
"If God has given us evidence of himself and salvation, and I don't see it,
then hasn't God failed? Hasn't he failed to give us enough evidence?"
History demonstrates that no matter how clear the evidence or how much of it
is provided, some people will claim it's not enough. That goes for religion
, politics, and everything else. More evidence by itself will never convince
every single mind because we are more often subjective rather than
objective. We tend to fi...

Over the last few years we have received Prophetic Words that the anti-
christ will use the name Jesus Christ in the Great Tribulation. Once the
anti-christ is revealed and is using the name Jesus, YAHUVEH will NOT hear
any prayers said in the name of Jesus. How could HE when the anti-christ is
using this name and deceiving billions. You must use the Sacred Names of
YAHUSHUA and YAHUVEH/YAHWEH in the Great Tribulation or your prayers will
NOT be heard.

How can God PUNISH a person’s family to the 3RD AND 4TH GENERATION?
QUESTION 17
IS IT FAIR FOR GOD TO PUNISH THE INNOCENT? HE SAID, "VISITING THE INIQUITY
OF THE FATHERS UPON THE CHILDREN UNTO THE THIRD AND FOURTH GENERATION OF
THEM THAT HATE ME"! (EXODUS 20:5)
Only four times in Scripture this phrase is recorded. In Exodus
20:5, Exodus 34:7, Numbers 14:18, and Deuteronomy 5:9. These are all in the

Nestorius:

When We Misinterpret God
by C Michael PattonJuly 14th, 201411 Comments
There have been times, too numerous to count, when I went one way,
suspecting the Lord was heading in the same direction, only to find out the
heart-breaking reality that God was going a different direction.
People seek to confirm their worldview (belief system) in their experiences.
Christians are no different. I am no different. I’m constantly looking for
events, I call them “God-sightings”, that evidence what I already bel...

Today, 250 years ago a great pastor was born, Charles Simeon. He was called
to Trinity Church, Cambridge in May of 1782. And he endured fruitfully there
through much fire for 54 years until his death November 13, 1836.
Simeon never married. He "had deliberately and resolutely chosen the…
celibacy of a Fellowship that he might…better work for God at Cambridge" (
Moule, Charles Simeon, 111).
His greatest influence was probably through sustained biblical preaching for
54 years. This was the central...
