Chafee said that he would veto any bill that would allow for the use of the

For hot days when I do not want an extra
layer, I use BodyGlide, same as wuyan
showed upstairs. I also use it under my
arms and on my feet, if distance is long.
The micro-fiber shorts are generally thin and
soft. The shorts should fit, should not be
too baggy to allow skins of the two legs to
touch directly.
Other compression short are also OK. For winter,
I use heavier compression shorts, not for
anti-chafing, but for warmth:) |

half time of my long run. I usually plan my course
to be twice of a big loop. When I reach the start
point the first time where I have my car and spare
clothing, I clean my sweat and change clothes, and
drink water. My feeling is soaked clothing is the
biggest factor causing chafing.

Base layer
顾名思义，base layer就是底层，贴身穿的。除了保暖之外，这层的主要功能就是吸汗
，然后把汗向外面排(wicking)。这层的主要考察因素有几方面：快干(quick dry)，保
暖程度，摩擦(chafing)。衣服是不是磨一方面是看材料的光滑程度，更重要的一方面
是看接缝。接缝的地方如果缝的不够精细往往就容易磨。而且衣服的标签经常是
chafing的原因。这就是很多户外的衣服领子后面都没有标签，而是直接印上去的。所
以买衣服的时候不要光看材料，这些小的细节往往非常重要，而且也是做工细致考虑周
到的体现。另外有一点，算是我的个人偏好，我的上衣一律是长袖的，两个原因，一个
是保护胳臂不被树枝刮伤，另外就是防晒。 |

long run. I got the same problem when running my first 1/2 marathon. I
realized I should have used band-aids or use cream to protect. Another thing
to consider is to wear singlet (sleeveless shirt). That will reduce the

秤上的读数可以视而不见，可是由于肥胖引起的chafing却给自己敲响了警钟。
今年第一次chafing是两周前的半马，右臂内侧磨出的伤痕知道最近几天才完全消下去
。今天在同样的地方竟然又磨出一块。为什么只磨右边，而不磨左边，这是个问题。。。

在long run 的时候，买的短裤会摩擦大腿表面，发生chafing. 我注意到，chafing是
由短裤边的缅边引起的。这个缅边有两层布，比别的地方厚，引起集中摩擦。我就把短
裤的裤腿下面剪去一段，这样就把那个缅边去掉了。
如何带GU也成了一个问题。放在口袋里会荡来荡去，也会增加短裤的摩擦。试过各种各
样的belt, 结果不是太紧不舒服就是太松乱动。后来灵机一动，决定在短裤后面自己缝
一个口袋，布料就用一只袜子。袜子都是有弹性的，GU塞进去就不会松动。
呵呵，还是自己动手好哇，还省了几十块钱。自我表扬一下。 |
