gas system是导气管长度不同。carbine length gas system原先是给11英寸短管Colt
AR
设计的并保留到14.5英寸枪管的M4上了，但mid-length gas system在14.5枪管上也完
全可以
使用，在16英寸枪管上更是没有问题。carbine length gas system因为导气管短，压
力大，
零件磨损高，后坐更强烈。mid-length则有效解决了这些问题。
如果你不买NFA限制的短管枪(枪管总厂小于16英寸的)，mid-length是更好的选择。 |

下面是Matech BUIS的zero instruction。
M4放在300m mark 25m zero，M16放在300-400m之间的Z mark 25m zero。mid length比
carbine length sight radius长2寸，但比rifle length又短，看两个zero mark中的
那个更好，多数人觉得和M4 carbine一样zero。 |

years ago? Colt designed M4 style carbine, and has been producing guns
since many many many years ago.

more and more agencies have switched over to carbines and SBRs over the
years.
sub guns are still being used because of old training doctrines, abundance
of ammunition and existing units in the arsenal and such. They also have a
natural advantage at suppressed shooting compared to high velocity small
caliber rifle.

Except for those in serious business, 9mm or 45acp carbines
make good home defense weapon. More fire power than pistol, less over
penetration then rifle, more controllable than rifle or shotgun.
I want a good 45ACP carbines myself, but don't know any good and affordable
ones. HK makes a ridiculously expensive one. |

defense doesn't require concealability.
as far as recoil, I've had the occasion of shooting full-auto Mk18s, and the
recoil was just as light as your full sized AR15, which is a breeze.
in terms of free recoil energy, .223 SBRs only produce about 1 or 2 foot-
pounds of energy more than pistol carbines weighting around 5 pounds, but
stopping power is a whole other story.

。不过没办法，那时候没有预算啊。嘿嘿，看来我只有听到rumer，打了鸡血以后才想
到买枪，上次的Saiga-12 ban，现在的奥巴马当选...真是冤大头的命啊。
请问Daniel Defense 16" mid-length是不是算好AR了，精度多少？
类似价位，还有其他什么AR可以看？

questions;

14.5-20), anything that feeds reliably is fine, as long as their velocity
can exceed the 223 FMJ fragmentation velocity of 2700 fps at face to face
distance.
M855 provides slightly better barrier penetration since it has a steel core.
If you use sub carbine (11") or even pistol (7.5") setup, I recommend
Hornady 75gr TAP.

，切了，换了不少部件，改成支持双排弹夹，所以是个convert了的整枪；而SAM7是从
开始就造的double stack，所有部件都是新的，所以是个真正意义上全新的枪。
所以价差主要是两地labor的差别。2003年sam7就比SLR101卖的贵个150块左右。

量第一的，Ghost Ring Sight, 18.5 寸管，评价很高，极适合家防。
如果非要步枪，建议22LR：Marlin 795, Marlin 60, 或 Ruger 10/22, etc. 好像还有

varmint是vermin control， 打一些啮齿类和土狼之类的小动物， 需要.223这类小口
径高初速弹药并且需要很高的精度， 通常是重管靶枪。
战术训练就是CQB drill一类的， 通常是卡宾。
不管干啥， 我都不推荐6920这种carbine gas. 首先护木太短，换长护木还要拆导气箍
， 很麻烦； 前瞄太近， sight radius太短， 铁瞄不好用； 最后一点，mid length
gas的后座比carbine gas更温柔一些。 |

piston AR. 建议您买PWS 的 upper. lower 很好办，自己在家拼一个出来，只要不到
一个小时，而且还能健身。没必要多花$500去买整枪。
现在的DI AR 市场已经非常完善，而BCM/DD/Noveske/Sig/PSA等主要厂家DI 设计的精
度、重量和平衡都是普通价位Piston AR （<$1200)所无法逾越的。最明显的一点：$
1200 以下的piston AR 现在市面上几乎没有一款提供 FN/BCM 等级的冷锻CHF 1/7 缠

with 14.5 barrel length (need to have a permanent attached muzzil attached

好玩是各有各的乐趣，手枪好玩在于它的不稳定性．随便一个带枪托的步枪都可以在精
度和射速上秒杀手枪，所以在range时候rifle太准打得就没意思了．
我不认为shotgun在home defense上比rifle好很多，一方面家里的距离并不足以让buck
shell散开足够大，最多一个拳头了．而装弹量又少得多，万一首发不中对方take
cover and fire back造成僵持，后续的射速还有装弹数都不够．手枪一般说是用来帮
助你get to long gun的，同时作为来不及取长枪的backup．在有压力的时候手枪打得
远不如长枪准了．
当然对于传统rifle rounds在家里使用我也存疑，因为一般步枪设计的是１００米以外
的杀伤效能，近距离可能来不及翻滚就出去了．不过rifle蛋如果命中目标失稳以后的
穿透力要比手枪和shotgun低不少，算是个plus．另外shotgun通常都很长，在室内回转
不方便，rifle现在有很多bullpup的，比如AUG，Tavor... 阅读全帖 |
