在中国人传统的主粮：稻米，准备“转基因”的今天, 想谈一点我所了解的、转基因食
物在美国的争议。
为什么著名的生物学家Barry Commoner会说：目前的转基因食物产业和种业所基于的“
科学”, 是已经过时了的生物学理论?
曾登上《时代》周刊封面的科学家Barry Commoner如是说，指的是——转基因食物的研
究和制造产业，最初发展起来时所基于的、对于“基因”的认识和研究的理论、以及相
关的“分子生物学”模型——在日新月异的分子生物学发展进程中 (特别是发展到了今
天这个阶段) —— 已一再被证明是“错了的”。
因为已经失去了可靠的生物学原理的指导和依据，目前的转基因食物行业，便成为一门
充满风险的、带有赌博性质的“实验科学”。

醒目的金色“标识”明显地增加：“100% pure cane, contains no beet sugar” (
100%纯甘蔗，不含甜菜制的糖)。

1. 美国目前将转基因食物尽可能地向落后国家转移，美国国内的转基因食物正愈来愈减少……除了动物饲料、生物燃料和工业原料，美国已趋于将“转基因”只用作极微量的食品添加剂。即便如此，转基因在美国本土还是被人们避之不及。
2. 孟山都公司在四面楚歌的挫败和挣扎中，于2008年8月，被迫宣布撤除它整个的转基因牛生长激素部门——从部门管理人员、到科技团队、到销售团队，全部撤除。
3. 过去几个月里，我特别注意观察了美国各类超市里糖的供应，发现有一个醒目的金色“标识”明显地增加：“100% pure cane，contains no beet sugar”（100%纯甘蔗，不含甜菜制的糖）。就连最普通的、并不专卖有机食品的超市里，6个品种的糖，也有5个如此标示。
4. 中国的转基因专家，一直到现在、目前、今天，仍在用2000年之前的基因学理论向中国公众“科普”转基因知识。他们的知识更新跟不上时代的发展，这也情有可原，但他们还要继续扮演“专家”，向中国大众进行科普，那就只能是“科唬”；他们向政府决策者进行辅导，那... 阅读全帖 |
